Yes, Ousmane N’Diaye is fully eligible to play for Kentucky in the 2026-27 season.

He signed with Kentucky in spring 2026 after professional experience in Europe (most recently with Vanoli Cremona in Italy’s Lega Basket Serie A) and representing Senegal. Early on there were questions about NCAA clearance due to his pro background, but those were resolved without issues.

  • By mid-June 2026 he had passed academic and compliance checks and was cleared as a full participant in summer practices. All players on the roster were reported eligible at that point.

  • He is listed on Kentucky’s official 2026-27 roster (typically as a forward/center, jersey #19) and has been participating in team activities, with positive reports on his adjustment.

    ukathletics.com
  • Under the NCAA’s updated age-based eligibility model (and prior pro-experience guidelines), he is projected to have two seasons of eligibility remaining, covering 2026-27 and 2027-28.

No credible reports indicate any remaining barriers to him competing in games this year. He is expected to compete for significant minutes (and possibly a starting role) in the frontcourt.

I see that the NCAA just cleared Mikka Muurinen for Arkansas so hopefully they are getting around to everybody now as practice is in full swing and we need everybody on the same page and not worrying about whether or not they’re going to be eligible or not

What what I’ve seen(which isn’t much) you can tell he moves well, soft touch on his shots and can “get up”. I think he may not start immediately but he will play a lot.
My bet is McBride starts in the initial kind of games and Pope rides the hot hand.
