At end of week a coastal low likely to form off the east coast. Models are all over the map on placement and timing and that means the difference between a rainy or dry Friday night. Stay Tuned

Student section included (there are HUGE Greek mixers taking place on College Ave, just for 1 example) other than, maybe, a couple hundred "Riot Squad" types. Will there even be enough kids there to unfold "CHOP?"

if this nor'easter does effect inland NJ, it is looking like moreso later Saturday and Sunday. Timeline could always change but that is the latest trend right now

For now Friday looks okay, sky conditions and temps could be like it was for the USC game with highs in the low 70s for tailgaters although need to watch wind gusts as we could have a busy 15mph breeze. Nightime and kickoff temps will be falling through the 60s so if you got a bit cool at the end of the usc game think that...probably pants at night and you will need a light jacket or sweatshirt at some point

Pretty much boils down to how close the noreaster comes to the coast. I think Friday should be fine either way but it may be a washout on Saturday/Sunday.

looking more and more of higher confidence of rain free tailgate and game with temps around 70 during the day but coolish at night dropping through the 60s...should have some wind gusts to chill it further.

When you have a storm like this a shift of 20-30 miles each run makes a big difference. After a series of eastward model nests, the last couple have ticked westward. Forecasters will look to nail down impacts to coastal locations late Friday night through Monday.

The rain shower chance is small but now there is a shot moisture could be pulled back. Not heavy stuff but be aware by bringing a poncho or light jacket. AT THIS TIME, it would look most of the time would be dry but have to see how radar evolves

Based on the latest forecast (seasonable temps, dry, cloudy, windy) I'm leaving the canopy at home. The threat of any precipitation during the tailgate or game seems to be diminishing. It may have been a strange decision, but having this game Friday instead of Saturday is working out well.

Yep, tailgate time is definitely looking good. Wind will pick up for gametime with the outside chance of a few drops, but very unlikely.

Kayak will be better, you'll be able to get around faster. Definitely a rain jacket, an umbrella might work but I think the wind could be pretty bad.

At 1pm NWS doesn't see more than Minor flooding at Sandy Hook and the Monmouth-Ocean county line. Stevens Institute sees low Moderate Fri nite and Sat morning.

Stevens is also projecting Moderate flooding Fri nite and major flooding around Barnegat Light Sat.The networks are talking big issues.

As always, all this could change eithher way by tomorrow AM. NWS should have an update around 6pm

8PM NWS not changed much but Stevens has increased the level of flooding for tomorrow night and especially Sat morning when they project a possibility of Major flooding.
