Rumor has it that we have offered more than BYU, or Duke. His camp was adamant about taking all of his visits. Pope pushed very hard for commitment when he was here. So there doesn’t seem to be a commitment until he completes all of his visits.Sorry, I have been out of the country for the last couple of weeks and haven’t been able to keep up much on recruiting but I thought we were going after this guy very hard and just want to know what’s going on if someone could elaborate please.
Prefer Uvwo by a mile. Osaruyi is a headcase and nowhere near the talent Uvwo is. Osaruyi is West Virginia bound more than likely and I would not be sad if we don’t get him. Great athlete and that’s about it.Would you rather have Lewis Uvwo or Paul Osaruyi as the freshman center option?
I assume UK will also get a Center, maybe even the likely presumed starting Center, from the Portal, but one of these guys would nevertheless likely play a lot. I don’t put any stock in recruiting rankings in regard to the impact of a freshman in college (although the rankings are fine for what their actual intent and purpose is). I also like to compare value by trying to judge the likelihood that a freshman will play more than one-year – and thus UK benefit more from the supposed upside.
I have seen Uvwo play a little, but not really Osaruyi. How would you guys who watch a lot of high school “stars” squaring off (streaming, I guess?) compare and contrast these two options?
Sleepers guys usually have zero clue about recruits but I hope they are right. Uvwo is a freak defensively and improving offensively. But defensively alone he will change every game.Sleepers guy think he's coming our way.
One battle to pay attention to is that of Cal vs Hurley for Demarcus Henry. My gut says Cal gets him, as he'll always throw the bigger bag at him where Hurley wants you to come for a discount/right reasons. Henry strikes me as a Cal kinda kid.
That side of the ball is where a 5 has the most impact.Sleepers guys usually have zero clue about recruits but I hope they are right. Uvwo is a freak defensively and improving offensively. But defensively alone he will change every game.
Absolutely that’s why Uvwo is a guy we offer the sky and make him say no in the end. I know byu has been on him the longest. And if Duke pushes for him they are at the top too. That side of the ball is where a 5 has the most impact.
To me, a classic rim protector is one of the most important pieces in CBB, if not the most. They are hard to find. Guards are a dime a dozen.
They have not been right about one recruiting prediction for any video I’ve ever watched of them. Granted it’s been awhile since I’ve watched them because most videos seemed to be guesses or what they personally wanted. No solid information.Sleepers guy think he's coming our way.

They are take based podcast. You could take 2 guys from here and give the same takes. Anything they say should be regarded as an uniformed opinion. They also push some weird site that puts dollar values to teams like a stock. They have not been right about one recruiting prediction for any video I’ve ever watched of them. Yeah I agree with that. That’s about what I got from watching it a few times. They are take based podcast. You could take 2 guys from here and give the same takes. I'd be all in on him. Rim protection covers a ton of defensive weaknesses and allows you to extend your defensive pressure to the three point line. Look at the last three champs - Mara, Clingan, Chinyelu.Absolutely that’s why Uvwo is a guy we offer the sky and make him say no in the end. I know byu has been on him the longest. We are definitely going all in on him. Now it comes down to can pope convince him he can use a guy like he’s never had before.I'd be all in on him. You can find guards anytime you want. There are also so few quality bigs coming out of HS.
Looks like we're out on Henry
Yeah, as long as Scheyer and Hurley stick, they have separation from the pack. We can get back up there, but it's not gonna be with Pope unfortunately. Not sure when it happens, but the next coaching search needs to be water tight.Sadly I don’t see us beating Duke ever and very few for UConn kids that they want.
Duke has the largest war chest in college basketball. UConn is a little bit different, they don’t quite have the money. In fact St John’s is more of a threat financially.Sadly I don’t see us beating Duke ever and very few for UConn kids that they want.
St John's has one billionaire bank rolling them, the Vitamin Water guy.Duke has the largest war chest in college basketball. UConn is a little bit different, they don’t quite have the money. In fact St John’s is more of a threat financially.
