I am curious how many people are on the basketball season ticket waiting list and how long fans have to wait to get them? Is there any possibility of seeing an SEC team on a weekend and get pretty good seat for not more than $150 if you are only looking for one seat? Thank you for any info.

I can’t speak to what the wait currently is, but back around 2016, I put my name into the lottery to seasons tickets and got them immediately. I had corner seats in the upper level, about 4 rows up, and being honest, they were great seats. I held them for 2-3 years, but living in Louisville made it really hard for weeknight games and selling them on the secondary market was a pain, so I wound up getting rid of them. But there was ZERO issue in getting them then, and that was during a pretty good run of basketball.

Really? Always wanted to see a game at Rupp and was thinking about making a trip in 2027-28. How often do the Wildcats have two games on a weekend (Thursday/Saturday or Friday/Sunday) ?

You can get a good seat to any game. Especially one ticket.

Apparently now, especially according to posts on here, people have given up tickets because they can stay at home and watch it on their big screen and save some money.

Some also said they were giving up Kentucky fandom after the team took a knee during the Anthem a few years ago, but maybe they returned after Calipari left.

Don't count on it. The tickets are way overpriced.

Even when we were good in 24-25 I saw plenty of SEC weekend home games against good teams and never paid $100 a seat or that close to it. Generally had nice seats too, usually lower third of upper arena and out of the corners and the end zone.

What I did every time is watch Ticketmaster and some of the other services like a hawk because as tipoff approaches unsold tickets start to come way down. Worst case you have to wait until five minutes after tipoff for prices to really drop. (Don’t try that vs. Arkansas if we face them at home. No matter how many people here tell you that plot’s been played out, the man on the street is very serious about wanting to see Pope punk Cal. But it holds true for pretty much everything else.)

I realize using that approach is riskier for you if you’re coming in from far away instead of just from Cynthiana. But for me it always worked so reliably I would do it even if I were flying in.

As mentioned above, there is no waiting list for season tickets. If you want single games, just keep checking ticketmaster. There will be good tickets for games available around Christmas when classes are out. The closest you're going to get to 2 games is Fri-Mon or Sat-Tues, at least this season.

Keep an eye on stubhub too. You'll land a single ticket pretty easily.

They go up and down depending on who’s good. Little Brother will never be an easy ticket to get affordably but it can be done. Arkansas is the only one that’s literally impossible to get a deal on. At some point even if Cal stays that will become just another rivalry and it will be more about what kind of team they have in a given year.
