Supposedly the ncaa won’t appeal this decision because it was in Indiana. We’ll see

Wow, what a monumental outcome for the field hockey team

Team has to find a way to make the NCAAT…then this might be a really big deal.

To the members of the Carolina field hockey media list,

Following recent rulings, Sietske Brüning, Ryleigh Heck and Dani Mendez have been ruled eligible and will play in tonight’s contest against Stanford. The situation is continually evolving so the UNC administration and our program wanted to be certain we’d done all of our due diligence before announcing this publicly from us. We will continue to follow this unprecedented situation as things unfold, but as of this moment the three have granted eligibility and will put on the Tar Heel uniform once again.

Find a statement below from Erin Matson on the situation. I am happy to answer questions if you have any as best I can and am permitted.

Quote from Erin Matson: “This team, my coaching staff and I are focused on working every day to put our best product on the field. We are very proud of the growth this group has shown and look forward to watching them develop to their full potential. Obviously, we are encouraged by the most recent ruling for Dani, Ryleigh and Sietske who have been with us all season, selflessly investing in this program. We will continue working with our administration to explore the ways they can contribute to this year’s team.”

Looks like they waited until after 5 PM to make the announcement, just in case a court decision came last minute.

Hey folks, I just found this video that I would like to share with you. This video speaks volumes about what I think Sietske, Heck, and Mendez are saying to the Field Hockey teams in the ACC as well as in the nation. The video is called, "I'm Coming" by Deion Sanders which says it all. I think we can all relate to the message and I think this is a good rallying cry to the rest of the league and nation in women's college field hockey. Listen to it and I think you will agree what the message is saying. Maybe someone can share this with EM and have her to play it right before the games start moving forward.
