What makes you think Ben is waiting on Bank's return? He said originally he wanted him back but that was before Bank's separation post. I don't think he's coming back and I think Ben is ok with it

I don't think he is anymore*, he may have been for awhile after the season but the updates were so sparse I'm assuming they had a discussion about not being able to just sit around and wait for an eligibility ruling.

I'm not sure why he isn't back at Iowa now... maybe he's got something but there's no way he couldn't contribute to this team and we have a spot open. Unless there was actually smoke to the rumors about his practice habits, this doesn't make sense.

OT: Was searching for any updates on TB and found none. However, after checking the Transfer Portal Tracker, I stumbled upon a former Hawk. Dasonte Bowen. Left Iowa for St. Bonaventure, and now has been picked up by Penn St as of April 6.

Folgueiras was a key and talented player, but like Banks Ben had plans for his 26-27 team not involving them.

Bringing back Banks when it isn’t even a guarantee these players can play isn’t necessary.

In all fairness to Banks. Iowa was not in a position to pay him what he could get on the open market. He likely has more options financially as well as playing a role that he wants.

Same for Folgueiras. He wanted to play forward but we needed him to be a small ball 5.... but not for the price he commanded. Plus we needed a true 5 more.

with the season starting in a few weeks, it's weird he's hasn't landed anywhere. It's not like he's not eligible. Shouldn't he be bonding and practicing with a team.
