his ability to get to top end speed is insane. There was one play where we threw a little hook and he planted and then accelerated. I swear he was at top end speed within a couple of steps. I embedded the video on the play I was referencing. It's at the 5:24 mark.

I thought Evans was better than Thompson last year. Thrompson was limited somewhat because of his size. Evans can run routes across the middle & is big enough to win physically one on one with cornerbacks
HOT TAKE - If Anthony continues on his current pace, he might have the best career of a MSU WR since Moulds. He should be 2nd/3rd round NFL draft pick. Polk was really a one year anomaly. Fred Ross had too many drops.

His yac is awesome. All of them are very good, very fast. I love going back and watching the game 2 or 3 times. You notice a lot more stuff

One of thing about this offense is the consistency of angles. Those quick hook routes always have a S or LB coming downhill at them. So that ability to move is very important when we try to turn a 5 yard play into 12.

We look for that strong jab-step on film. They’re easy to see. Whoever replaces Evans will have it as well.

I can get going that fast too. All I need is some wasp for motivation!

For a shifty guy, he's tough, strong runner. Something we haven't had in a long time at WR...maybe since DaRunya Wilson.

He was. Just wasn’t as fast. He is a really good receiver.
