I just wanted to say how happy I am for our coaches and team! I loved Boley and hated to see him leave but this right here just reassured me me we got a winner as a coach and this man I the complete package. Clock mngmt, coaching, player scouting, etc. Ky football is coming and the SEC better be ready!

I think Minchey's touch on passes and ability to make the correct play most of the time is excellent. I only wish he had a little.more running and scrambling ability than he's shown. If he had that, this offense would be extremely formidable.

Agree. Talented kid. On the whole, more talented than minchey, but I see why stein prefers accuracy over everything for his offense. There are several plays per game guys will be wide open by design and his qb absolutely must capitalize.

Yeah, you could kinda tell the mindset during a couple of plays last year when he’d make a play and then do the counting money gesture on the sideline with Calzada. Glad he’s doing well but Minchey really grew up against aTm but like someone said just hope he gets a better feel when to tuck it and run, about 0.5 sec behind on that imo.

That is false and Stein had already replaced Stoops anyway. Were you actually not aware that Stein had already been hired and one of his first priorities was to contact Boley?

My bad. Dec 2025 Stein was named HC and Jan 1 2026 Boley entered the portal.

I don’t think any of us know the whole story. Boley probably left because he knew Stein was bringing in Minchey to be #1 and didn’t want to stay and be the backup QB. I wish him well, and hope Minchey has a great year.

Agree, keeping a few more plays a live and moving the chains a couple more times in big games adds another level for any QB. Kenny has shown he has a good head and great touch when given time. I'd just caution folks that everybody looks better when they have time and comfort to react and everyone looks worse and rattled when they dont have the time back there. Kenny struggled against Bama due to pressure at times, but he looks to me like the type that will slowly adjust and get better even in those times to make quicker decisions and turn bad looking plays into something positive so I'm more than happy with him.

He got hyped because he has great physical tools and was well ahead of development as a freshman in the toughest league in the country.

Ya he currently isn't a great fit for what Stein wants to do because hes way too much gunslinger mentality; but lets not act like he doesn't have a bright future.
