I don’t think he put in the effort they wanted
I think they signed him then he did one more year in ncaa and tried out for nfl
He seems like the type that thought it would be easy because it’s fake so his natural athleticism would allow him to just coast through it. Like look at how quickly he is going thru other athletic ventures and failing at it. He’s not really committing to anything and just looking for a quick and easy route to make money.
As Ron Swanson would say “Never half as* two things, whole as* one thing.”
Yup he also lost his last ncaa match so agreed thought his ability would carry him

I ain't dead but thanks for the concern lol. I'll be posting less going forward unless something major happens in the wrestling world. The trolling/personal stuff on the board had gotten to a point that I don't find myself wanting to log in much anymore. I've always enjoyed some of the back and forth but over the years some have taken it a few steps beyond that. I've got Discord which I enjoy and none of that happens. Surprisingly people act normal there. Even here it seems like Dragon has calmed slightly on the FED BAD gimmick since I haven't been around, although calling for AEW tickets as a fake-out and then reporting to the thread there's not many left is pure Dragon lol. On3 Meltzer over here jk.
Anyway, the Mexico City Raw was incredible, I'm excited for Sami, I hope no wrestlers die in the Middle East, glad Dragunov will be in AEW and appreciated, I noticed Jericho and someone else tried a Destroyer after Roman/Penta and it bombed spectacularly, and Copeland looks 1,000 years old. Oh, and Dave is still on X arguing with fans like a psychopath.

Someone should have thought through putting chicken on a black stars shirts. That's not going to go over well.
They could have just put the shoe. It still would have been an ugly shirt, but just goes to show how little WWE understands black culture.
An interesting discussion topic I came across, what was the worst singing AEW has ever made?
I decided it was CM Punk. As much positive as he had towards the beginning of the run, which was no doubt quite extensive, he obviously became a legitimate cancer to the company and it took multiple years to recover from the damage he caused. I can't think of a single other person who left any damage upon leaving other than in a creative capacity.
Even a big one like Cody leaving didn't amount to much for AEW directly because the fanbase was largely sick of him. Now you can argue him being one of the catalyst for WWE's most recent hot phase had an indirect negative effect on AEW, but one could just as easily argue AEW was their own worst enemy with creative choices at the time. But once again, that all goes back to the damage being in a creative capacity.
Obviously there have been dozens (hundreds?) of others that have been far less effective from a business and creative capacity, but none caused anywhere remotely close to as much damage that Punk would end up causing,

No way on Cody he brought credibility to the first All In which helped form AEW then the dominoes with signing Jericho
Well I never said Cody was a bad signing.
I’m just saying him leaving didn’t have much of a negative effect because everyone was was sick of him by that point. AEW reached its peak long after Cody left.

So Raw last week was one of the most watched Raws of the Netflix era, and it was one of the most AEW style shows they’ve ever had - filled with quality wrestling and some long matches

Not even 10k yet between the two of them is pretty crappy for a place like Indianapolis.
Though AEW is not technically in Indianapolis, they are in Fishers, which is a suburb 16 miles northeast of Indianapolis. Indianapolis public transportation does not extend to Fishers. People coming from Indianapolis are going to be lucky to be home by 11 for this show. On a Wednesday.
Put me in that situation and I'm not making the trip even with free tickets. I don't even go to the weekday night games at my alma mater anymore that's like a 12-minute drive. I'm not getting home until almost 10 pm. I'm not doing that. I'm going to struggle to get to sleep because my body didn't get the change to naturally wind down for the night then have to turn around and be up at 6 am for work the next day
Suburb shows are for the weekends, not midweek.

Heck, I can barely stay up until 10:30 to finish Dynamite on Wednesdays.
I drove through fishers before I think I had a cousin around there - 465 and the other roads are a mess
I thought their reunion would be huge but their singles time was so bad that nothing worked after.
I still can't believe Max Caster got over by being a jobber with the catchphrase "Let's go Max you're the best wrestler alive." He was fully committed to it and made it work when it never should have. That's a a valuable asset to have on the roster.
Don't know why he just suddenly disappeared. I assume he screwed up off-screen again or said he wasn't going to re-sign. Bowens has said he had to convince TK not to fire Max when they were still the Acclaimed, so either one would be easily believable.
Anthony Bowens as a singles guy has been horrible though. The baseball player gimmick was dead on arrival and the Opps when Samoa Joe is out is one of the worst stables in AEW over the last few years.

I did not make it to 10:30 last night. I was dozing off in and out sometime shortly after 10. I'll have to watch the Collision portion when I get home later today.
I legit laughed out loud when the Bucks dropped the Dudley Boyz reference during last night's show. Wonder if that would actually get them to mention AEW on Busted Open at least for that?
