LMAO, the house is now on 5 week recess and has 33 floor days left on their calendar for the year. Senate had 40 floor days left on their calendar. These people are not serious just use a topic like this for divisive rhetoric.

No politics in sports

Ted Cruz is the prime sponsor of the bill and chairman of the Senate Commerce Committee, who sat for a newsworthy interview taking place in his home state.

Meanwhile, ESPN pays Jay Bilas a lot of money to co-host Gameday during the season which he occasionally uses to air his views on this exact issue. Though if ESPN could bring Bilas in next week to debate Nick Saban on the issue, I would tune in to that.

I file all of this under WGAS. In the end, money will win. We can all see where this is going.

But the players and agents don’t want collective bargaining. A lot of people are making a lot of money the way things are now.

The thing to watch here is if the P4 leagues try collective bargaining as individual entities with the players in their own leagues.

Frankly, the NCAA should focus on enforcing eligibility rules. I think that’s what the legislation focuses on and that would be helpful. The money is here to stay.

Politics remember you have a vast majority of southern GOP members that also need to give their big state institutions freedom of conference movement in all of this as well

We need Congress to institute salary caps on coaches because college Presidents and BOR’s don’t have the stones to do so….

Garbage...have capitalism until one specific party or the other says no.

If schools are dumb enough to give head coaches, presidents, ADs and other high ranking admin insane top 1 percent compensation let it be

It just underscore the insanity of college sports but the President and BOR will continue to do it as long as suckers continue to foot the bill with higher tuition, higher taxes, and donations. Let the free market decide rather than Congress. If some schools tank due to the stupidity so be it.
