Some pretty interesting film study on us from Geoff Collins
I agree. It was obvious by the third play of the game that Minnesota didn’t have the talent to play with us. South Carolina is at least equal to our athleticism. This game will really show us what our OL and Kamario are capable of.Great breakdown. Neither team we've played had even just 1 DB that could stay with our WRs or an elite pass rusher. SC has both, so I'm interested to see how KT responds to that.
I hate saying this but I've got to get it out, I don't like this matchup. With Stewart coming off the edge & their elite DBs, makes me nauseous. KT will have to improvise more than he'd like. Let's hope our OL is up to the task & Lebby's got some wrinkles that work.

Stewart won’t be 100%. Even if he plays he will be limited in snap counts. Towson passed for 182 against USCE. I think our WRs will get plenty of opportunities to make plays against the gamecocks secondary.Great breakdown. I've been saying for months that O-lines play better when they feel like IF THEY DO THEIR JOB THEIR QB WILL DO HIS. I understand it's not that simple but I truly believe it starts with motivation and that motivation starts with KT .Matt's video proved something that I was hoping I was seeing on Saturday with my old untrained eyes --
Our O-line is incredibly physical and very disciplined. Minnesota had returning starters and real studs on their D-line and the guys up front handled them convincingly.
Hopefully they can handle the Cocks!
Agree. I get that they have good DBs. But elite? And enough to keep 3 fast receivers covered? I can see that Stewart could potentially cause us real problems if he’s 100%. But as you say, that’s a real question.Stewart won’t be 100%. Even if he plays he will be limited in snap counts. Towson passed for 182 against USCE. I bet we see a lot of three man fronts drop 8 into coverage. They will try and confuse Taylor. We will need to check down to some runs with fluff and Taylor. Once they bring a LB and safety down we will be able to probably see some zone and man coverage. That’s when we can be on attack In the pass game . The main thing will be to try and establish the run first.Agree. I get that they have good DBs. But elite? And enough to keep 3 fast receivers covered? Rushing a qb like Taylor (or Sellers for that matter) can sometimes only make them more dangerous.I bet we see a lot of three man fronts drop 8 into coverage. They will try and confuse Taylor. Agree. But with our speed at WR they won’t be able to match up with us. They will try to confuse coverages so if we can establish the run with success and win 1st and 2nd down with Fluff and K1. They eventually will be forced to commit more to the run. That should open up some lanes to pass.Rushing a qb like Taylor (or Sellers for that matter) can sometimes only make them more dangerous.
All I heard about prior to the Minnesota game was how great their two NFL bound Defensive Ends were. Now we are hearing about USCe's elite CBs. They haven't played anyone until they play us.Matt's video proved something that I was hoping I was seeing on Saturday with my old untrained eyes --

That's is our plight until we can put together a few good seasons. Same will happen if we happen to beat USC. This same defense, that we are being told is all world, will suddenly be crap if we win.All I heard about prior to the Minnesota game was how great their two NFL bound Defensive Ends were. I think the school they played this past weekend got to them a little. Also, Stewart is hurt. He may not play. They do have some legit talent. The DE Stewart is a consensus Top 10 pick projection in the next draft, so if he plays much he will be a challenge. They also have an OL and a CB with Top 3 round talent, and while I think he’s a near sure NFL bust plenty of folks expect Sellers to go pretty high.
But, I doubt they have a significant talent edge overall if they have one at all.
We really need to win this game.
I think Taylor has bigger balls and will hang in a longer than Sellers. I predict most of their rushing yards will be him running for his life. Their RB is a sophomore but he has already lost three fumbles. Their WR lead the nation in dropped passes.Rushing a qb like Taylor (or Sellers for that matter) can sometimes only make them more dangerous.
