Anyone else want to predict a Big East record?

At season's end we can look back and see who came closest.

We go back to beating Uconn at home as usual, after last years aberration.
Sweep George, Depaul and Butler and split with all others except Nova, who's always our kryptonite.

11-9.

I’m not convinced that Georgetown will be improved enough and their home court advantage is non-existent at this point.

I think SHU will get a signature win that will get them in the tournament. While UConn is the obvious pick I like the idea of SJU at home, albeit on winter break. I fully acknowledge that SJU is going to be a wagon, but I think they will peak in February going into March rather than December.

The three straight losses will be the late-season swoon but they will rally and win 3 out of the last 4 which, with the new expansion, gets them in.

We're going to get on a roll early and the momentum will carry us through a great season.

I’ve noticed that fans of every school complain about the home oppnents they get during winter break…. Should that even be a factor for Seton Hall until kids show that they will actually attend games? And isn’t a month where the players have no other distractions just as important as the number of students who show up at games?

Better team this year balance and offense.
Not as good defensively.
Big East much better.
Budd was invaluable during last five minutes.

Your last point is spot on. I’m hopeful but fear losing games late due to sub par PG play in crunch time.

Thanks. Budd is a frustrating player to defend at the end of the game because he controls the tempo and can find space to get a shot off. And he converted more than he didn’t. Also very disruptive on defense. Sometimes overly aggressive and he paid with foul trouble.

I’m expecting Wilcher ends up our primary “PG” much like Wusu The Nuke a couple years ago.

Just seems like there’s too many separate parts on this roster and we won’t find the right fits in time.

Invaluable? What about that horrendous shot he chucked up at the end of the Uconn game that cost us a HUGE road win. What about the terrible decision to pass to Payne at the end of the USC game. Sure he was fine against Gtown & Rutgers. He didn’t lead us to any notable wins.

There were very few options to take those shots in the final minutes of a game. We had a team that couldn’t shoot and for the most part couldn’t create space to make a shot with the clock running out. The only time the office was really effective was on a break or after a turnover. This was a terrible team in the half court that needed Budd to bail them out way too often. Budd was the only guy who could do it. If you can’t recognize that, I can’t help you.
