Where do you rank Providence in the CCL?

It is my understanding that Providence is holding an emergency advisory board meeting tonight to discuss/address the situation. What a complete mess on all fronts.

Oh good God.

It's a bad look as it is. If it were to be rescinded I am not sure if it would even be accepted and certainly not with the current administrative leadership still in place. And if the coach were reinstated with top administrators forced to step down, then you have the perhaps even worse look of the football program quite literally running the school.

Might have to grab some popcorn for this one.

Why does Edgy keep removing threads about HC Plantz firing at providence? Its a local, regional, and national news story and should be a tremendous driver of traffic to this message board.
This message board has been dying since the ON3 transition, and Edgy’s refusal to allow a discussion about the biggest Illinois high school football story of this season is further fuel to the fire that is a dying message board.

Kankakee Coach issue got flushed too. The last person that asked what you did had Edgy tell them read the rules. When that person pointed out all the things such as NFL, College Football & Bears talk were on here left & right & those were rules violations that person got flushed lol

I just saw an ABC news report where they interviewed Plantz. I wonder if the decision makers have been taken aback by the negative backlash and amount of news coverage/bad publicity for the school. It is a mess.

If I am Plantz I would not accept it back. Heck there is the best suburban public school football job opening up for next year not to far away and from my understanding it is not filled.

I think some of you are overthinking this: @Edgytim relies on the relationship with schools and coaches. If he allows some of you to trash individual coaches, or coaching staffs, or the schools they're well in the rights to tell him to go pound sand when he wants to talk to a player/attend a game. Beyond that, if I'm a coach William McKinley HS and I see that posters are trashing the coaching staff at Grover Cleveland HS, why am I going to allow ET at my place when I know it could happen to me?

It's a message board. I'd agree with you if it were Edgy posting & "trashing" coaches. Edgy has built a great name over 20+ years covering HS football. He's fine.

Need to be a teacher in the school in this district. Yes he has a degree from ND which is nice but doesn’t have his certs to teach high school.

I don’t see James white lasting more than 2 seasons at Benet. I’m sure he’ll move onto greener pastures.

Any CCL coach first reaction was like hey come over and help get back on your feet. Then after a second realized the situation that got him here lol don’t bring in a former head coach who still wants to be head coach…

CCL conversations dominate the EDGY board…not priveledge just evolution. When have you seen any posters from Sandburg,Andrew,Oak Forest, Tinley Park, Thornton, Rich Twp., Crete, Lemont, Lockport and MANY others. Why post anything from those schools…

No one is stopping them from posting. Would enjoy more insight on other teams.
I post about Lockport every week FWIW. I'm at every game.

Disagreed. When something like this happens full transparency is required otherwise it blows up in your face.

Limited information that they don’t need to provide is salaries, donors, etc.

Limited information doesn’t apply to terminations of key employees that back fire in your face w limited information

I totally get that, and that’s fair. They’re a private institution and certainly don’t owe the public every detail.

But at this point, the speculation has gotten out of hand on both sides. What helps temper rumors? Transparency. They don’t have to provide it, but keeping everyone in the dark isn’t helping anyone either.

And to Tyler’s credit, he seems to have been fairly transparent about his side, including what happened in his meetings with the administration Saturday and Sunday morning. The longer there’s little clarity from the other side, the more people are going to fill in the blanks themselves.

From PC alumni.... OC led mutiny... Some members on staff didn't stop this from taking place... Disgruntled parents and players were nothing out of usual... Some coaches shared disgruntled attitude, but saw results... OC led consistent pestering of AD to act for weeks, led to decision from top...

No one in program has transparency on why decision made now.

Don't expect lineup changes... Expect coaching changes...

In the day there were fans of many schools posting and discussing their teams…Lockport even had more than one participant. LWE currently has what 2? Lockport has you and ? CrossBones can tell you of the healthy banter of multiple sources spewing all sorts of relevant and informational information in the past. The conversations didn’t immediately go negative as they appear to today. The Czart debacle at LWN and the Porters downfall were well covered. I don’t feel I am wrong in saying the board is CCL heavy. Carry on.

Quite the reaction for someone who's only been around for a year.

He's not wrong, there used to be quite an array of fans from quite a few school. There are some former big name posters here who fled for a different board that is still there, but sadly has pretty much faded away.
