Uh huh……rhule ducked Tennessee and then lauded Ohio because they gave us a good game to “ see where we are really at “ all the while we really don’t know where we are really at. That’s a championship coach let me tell ya!

Returning the favor since they ducked us in 2016-2017.
Turnabout is fair play.😉
They accepted a better offer to play another P4 team in prime time in front of a crowd of 156,000+ people

A college football attendance record that will probably never be broken

We paid to cancel so we could schedule an FCS school

Not even in the same stratosphere
Was little late to get P4 school team and at home. Dannen wanted 7 home games is the bottom line. Take it up with him.

We were lucky to get Oregon in 2016-2017 when we did.

Would have rather lost to Tennessee ( or maybe even won?) to see where we were at instead of PAYING a lower tier team so we could beat their brakes off and scream “ rah rah rah”. That game was a scrimmage. Tom would have never

And besides that……do ya rememberrrrr……giving Snyder hell about scheduling cupcakes to boost his teams confidence and then giving him **** because he couldn’t win a championship? Do ya remember (not just last year but the last TEN Years) where Iowa has beat us 9 out of ten while you juvenile punks bragged about national championships 30 freaking years ago? You don’t think that’s bulletin board material? My GOD guys can you ever humble yourselves and get the hell to work? I cringe every time I see that ****, it means NOTHING! Your whole holier than thou attitude is disgusting. I seriously think I’m seeing 7 th graders talk **** BUT…….any 7th grader now has only seen us be a joke.

why would we duck them in the first place?

We asked the same favor. We wanted to to move the games because we are renovating our stadium after this year and the 27 Scheduled game in Lincoln wouldn’t be a true Nebraska game. If you’re going to post get your facts straight retard .

While Ndsu has a much deeper history. Google North Dakota and their coaching staff like I did. . Last year North Dakota made the playoffs and lost one score games to ndsu, k state, sdsu - all very competitive teams on par with Us. In their Head Coaches first year- they made the playoffs and had razor thin losses to several exceptional teams that are probably on par with Us.
North Dakota has a good squad and currently has a few stud Nebraska HS kids on their commit list.

Yep
The ndsu, sdsu, ndu and even nwms of the world are grabbing up those kids who used to be late offers or walk ons here - they are developing them and winning with them. Winning programs, ok facilities and pretty solid fans. Can’t blame the kids - it’s fun playing and it’s fun playing for a winner

Fighting Hawks OL in particular - all vets with a lot of experience playing together and possibly a couple FCS AAs. They call themselves “the 701 moving company” On defense, two pretty good DEs.

On offense, should be a good test of Husker pass protection. On defense, should be a good test of Husker DL and ability to limit ND run game.

I expected the early line to be mid teens. 24.5 is crazy …..I swore off sports betting about 15 years ago otherwise I would jump on that line.

What matters most is what the player can put on tape in live games. Some kids are just gamers- or not. Played youth and high school ball with a pretty good player who wasnt lazy in practice or anything but somehow looked average in practice- on game days this average looking kid would somehow ball out, especially in the clutch. Same thing in baseball with him. Craziest thing. Opposite can be true/ great practice players but Jane’s on game day.

Sleeping on North Dakota would be a huge mistake. I’m not a betting person but if I was North Dakota would be an extremely tempting bet if I could get past betting against my Huskers.

Had a teammate like that also. Some people are wired that way no matter the endeavor: they only excel under pressure or when the floodlights are switched on.

The way to justify it would to bet against the cover and not the money line. IMO it’s always ok to make a little money when the bookkeeper makes an apparent mistake on the spread.

As husker fans were always doing this. I’ll make no predictions because I don’t trust Matt Rhule. He can gain some back on Saturday with a statement win. If he squeaks this one out, color me surprised
Would it really be a surprise? Some would expect a close win/upset loss. Anything that isn't a blowout wouldn't be a shock. I'd be more disappointed than surprised if it was close, given his tendencies to play too close to the sun.

We played Ole Miss State in our Baseball Regional, how can anyone expect us to keep up??

your example is an independent?

no P4 team has ever been left out of the CFP because of a non-con game against a marquee opponent. not a single one.

on the flip side, multiple have been chosen because they scheduled those games. including at least one team that lost their marquee non-con matchup, which the CFP did not count against them.
Does Notre Dame not play anyone? You were talking about SOS. So now they have to be in a conference? Quit moving the goal posts. But I'll keep playing your little game.

What about a 2 loss SMU in 2024? I'm guessing a 2 loss Miami, 2 loss Ole Miss or even a 3 loss Alabama team would have something to say about it if SOS truly mattered to them. You could even argue that Indiana that year had an incredibly weak schedule as a 1 loss team.

And our baseball team like football and basketball played a variety of teams including some very bad ones. We play Indiana the defending National champs, Ohio state. Oregon -all top 10 teams and then Iowa and solid Illinois and Washington teams. I think the schedule is pretty good.

I guess considering we get OSU, Oregon, and Indiana I’m not sure why you’re embarrassed. Starting conference on the road against Pat Fitzgerald is not a layup either. Ending the season at Iowa? Yeah that’s all a cream puff. Tom usually had at most 2-3 ranked teams to negotiate before a bowl game. What’s so different about this?
Stop.

Must have been a bad joke, as you missed it completely..

Sorry, I will try to do better.

The joke was Ole Miss and Miss St put together, much line NDU and NDSU are confused.

Sorry it was so complicated....

Holding is a function of not being where you need to be which is often footwork related. Just telling them not to hold when the defender is out of frame isnt the answer.
Yeah, this is a result of not practicing at game speed or having a sense of urgency and competition. Are any starters really afraid of losing their jobs if they just go through the motions? This is why I assume the quality of the sport will slowly wither, mainly because of a lack of depth and competition, and practice doesn't matter if the millionaires must play, and you have no depth behind them.
