  • Inadequate NIL directly contributed to non competitive roster
    • $6M more would have provided us with enough talent to compete
  • Lower Level Kids that were acquired are acclimating to this level of play
    • Bradlee Jones played much better against BC
    • A $5M Quarterback would have resulted in a 2-0 Record
    • Instead we chose developmental projects due to lack of resources
      • Lonergan struggled against UMass
      • Surace looked better against BC but struggled with 4 turnovers
    • Surace will look much better next year but this year is a developmental year
  • Too many roster holes to overcome this year
    • Positive Impact Quarterback
    • Impact Defensive Ends
    • Impact Defensive Tackle
    • Quality Left Tackle
    • Impact Tight Ends look
    • Impact Safety
    • Impact Linebacker
      • McClary not ready

Didnt get enough attention this past weekend AL? 20-30 MILLION DOLLARS couldnt compete with last year's doormat of college football AND the doormat of the ACC. Granted they can/did improve, but 20+ million and a sh*tty, bloated, ineffective coaching staff led to ZERO improvements for Rutgers....literally none.

What does anyone of this have to do with UMass and BC?

Were we overmatched in talent by them?
Not sure what roster spending (both revenue share and NIL) have to do with those games?

Worst OP in years. Starts off saying more NIL is the problem So I guess UMass with 1/10th our NIL kicked our buts but if we had even more NIL we’d have won?

We’d get easily beat by NDSU who has tiny NIL but don’t tell that to AI

Hey didn’t the OP grant GS a “Mulligan” last year as well?

idiot. Babbling idiot.
I now read more of Al's posts than ever before. The reaction posts/GIFs/emoji's that follow are hilarious! And, my ventures into TKR-land need humor more than ever. Thank you, gentlemen... I don't know how y'all come up with this stuff. But, thank you! Go RU!

Not sure about that but being told not to attend tailgates because girls were scared is truly creepy stuff. The more that comes out about that guy there it gets.
No surprise, a lifetime of narcissism will damage most people beyond repair. He's a walking red flag on so many levels.

I'm now convinced Al is just troll, as in just saying stuff to drum up comments and controversy, like some others on this board. Doubt he really believes any of what he says, in a real, practical way. Schiano has been given more than a fair opportunity, and if he survives it will likely because we don't have the money, or have the money but don't want to spend it that way. In any event, his story at Rutgers has finished, just a matter of when. Hobbs a fool to extend him.
Nice you finally caught on, I called him out as a troll during the Ash years and many defended him...lol.

As much as I appreciate Al’s optimism on this board. And I’ve always been optimistic, time is UP. Unless we beat USC or get within 2t ouchdowns even, it’s over for Greg. Time to clean house top to bottom.

It must be true that he posts this crap on purpose. Maybe he’s paid by On3 to generate clicks
Richie isn't paying anyone for this type of garbage.

Al has pretty much deep-throated every coach since 1.0. This is a classic example:

https://www.on3.com/boards/threads/...ombo-of-bill-parcells-vince-lombardi.6487922/

He constantly crazes attention and would post his embarrassing upset alerts on other teams' boards. Then act like he does here with anyone that disagreed. It was horrifying that people with little exposure to RU thought he was representative of all RU fans.

He is a bottom third HC in an 18 team league, 13th-18th, and it isn't changing if you give him a mulligan this year or not. He's in his 18th year of coaching and lost to 2 teams that were a combine 2-22 last year.

FBS career record of current head coaches(sports reference)

Illinois Beilema 135-85
Indiana Cignetti 48-6
Iowa Ferentz 215-128
Maryland Locksley 41-75
Michigan Whittingham 179-88
Mich St Fitzgerald 112-101
Minnesota Fleck 97-67
Nebraska Rhule 68-62
Northwestern Braun 20-19
Ohio St Day 83-13
Oregon Lanning 49-9
Penn St Campbell 109-70
Purdue Odom 47-44
Rutgers Schiano 99-110
UCLA Chesney 23-6
USC Riley 93-28
Washington Fisch 34-33
Wisconsin Fickell 81-47

By win percentage, Schiano is only ahead of Locksley and one of only two coaches with a losing record currently coaching in the B1G, even subtracting the first two years of 1.0(3-20) he is only 96-90 bunched up with 4-5 other coaches. His ceiling is 6-6, 7-5 in the B1G. He is what his record says he is, a below average coach whose ceiling is mediocrity.

We didn’t have enough $$$ to beat UMass?? I’m so confused here. Al digging deep into his bag of bullsh*t to get attention
No BS here. You need good quarterback play to beat teams. Our qb was a net negative against UMass, which is the biggest reason we lost. UMass’s quarterback was a net positive. With a good quarterback, Rutgers is 2-0. Indiana, USC, PSU, Northwestern, Wisconsin, and Nebraska, all paid up for good quarterbacks. These programs, among others, care about football success, which is why they had adequate NIL. We raided the bargain bin and are 0-2. We are trying to develop 2 guys on the fly. By next year, they will be ready to be a good qb. For now, we just have to live with their mistakes, as they develop.

He’s in the bottom third of NIL, which is the biggest reason we don’t win. You need quality players to win, and we don’t have enough of them. I’ve listed the positions which are problems in the OP.

You spend all your time here deep throating the site publisher, regurgitating his points, attacking others, and portraying yourself as an expert, which is a joke, because everything you know comes from this site. The best part is, you are universally disliked because everyone knows you’re a clown, despite your efforts to gain clout.

We are going to do our best to beat USC but it’s going to be tough because they have a $20M NIL advantage, and are supported by Millionaires and Billionaires. Are you going to help provide the NIL, to replace the players we are going to lose if there is a change? If we have to go to the bargain bin to replace 50 players, any change is going to be a disaster. Better to build upon what we already have.

Otherwise Need 1000 people to donate $20K for any change to be successful. This gives us a $20M war chest above revshare.
