A year or two ago I may have had a little sympathy to this post. MAYBE.

In 2026, NFW.....

It's UMASS and BC. The BC game was arguably to decide the worst P4 team.

So Al could you just give the nonsense a rest please. It's neither funny nor clever, nor rooted in any rational common sense.

It's over Al. The clock is ticking on GS so mark your calendar for October 4.

If there was still any proof required to clearly show this guy is just playing with this site or really absolutely fracking stupid.. his content the last week seals the deal.

And no, i didnt and no longer read his BS. I see the title and know right away who wrote it.

I have lost the ability to respect underperforming college coaches who hold universities hostage with long term contracts. $18 million payout?c'mon. Have some self respect. If congress wants to help college sports, it should ban contracts longer then 1 year or more then $1 million at public universities. These hostage situations and massive payouts have to end.

Al do you ever stop to think about how absurd college football has become in general? How many lives could be saved or dramatically improved with $5 million dollars? All the NIL money in the world is not going to significantly change the number of talented players available, or the average win loss record in the sport.

I wonder if Greg was more open and transparent with fans and local media, if more fans would be more forgiving of this year.

I've seen "likeable" people last longer than they should based on actual performance in the corporate world. I'm curious if the same would apply here.

You mean boyfriend. Wimsatt was the man of his dreams and he didn’t hide it. Shelby doesn’t care about anyone’s orientation but in this case it was cringecreepy.
Not sure about that but being told not to attend tailgates because girls were scared is truly creepy stuff. The more that comes out about that guy there it gets.

Maybe a switch hitter then. He was after Wimsatt like a shark chasing a bleeding seal.

This one is way too obvious though

Al has to be trolling us all at this point, right? There's no way he can actually believe the crap he posts.
Unquestionably, and I have to hand it to him: seeing this thread title pop up legitimately made me laugh out loud. Trying not to be a prisoner of the moment here, but this might be some of Al’s best troll work since the Savon song. Any chance we might ever see a sequel to that one?

This is a good point. Most who are familiar with the team, could see there wasn’t enough talent to succeed. He could have easily said something like, “this team is going to be a work in progress be cause we lost a lot of talent, especially our QB who is in NFL Camp. We’re working hard to develop as fast as we can, but We’re going to be much better at the end of the season. Next year, we’ll be in better shape because we’re building a new foundation this year. Please be patient.”

if you’re up front with people, they are more likely to be forgiving. It was a mistake to hide our condition by not having spring practice.

Al, the team is missing assignments and not executing against teams with worse talent. Just wait till they play the good teams. This is going to be a 1 or 2 win season. No matter how you look at it, it’s a major failure.

I think the lack of media coverage, cancelling the spring game, and just not being even remotely honest with the fans/giving the same BS answers every post game is helping seal his fate.

The record is the record obviously, but how we feel about the program otherwise is not good.

For me, it’s either keep Schiano, save the 18 million, and use the $$ to get better Jimmies and Joes. Or, clean house, dump Tate and Zinn, stop this stupid Washington Generals routine and just be a great university!

What about the indoor practice facility?! Surely that contributed too? you are the ONLY person in the entire fan base wanting to “Grant a mulligan“ at this point. JFC.

UMass crushed him- that makes the money argument irrelevant. We have 10x more funds than they do...

Great, how is Rutgers supposed to survive with his massive "donation" of a parking pass and a single season ticket walking out the door?!

I'm now convinced Al is just troll, as in just saying stuff to drum up comments and controversy, like some others on this board. Doubt he really believes any of what he says, in a real, practical way. Schiano has been given more than a fair opportunity, and if he survives it will likely because we don't have the money, or have the money but don't want to spend it that way. In any event, his story at Rutgers has finished, just a matter of when. Hobbs a fool to extend him.
