AOC and Mandani are laughing while they are reading the names of the dead from 9/11.

Yes, it’s unfair. Yes, the Dems are unfairly held to different standards considering the grotesque troll now in office and all his sycophantic followers.

I just think the optics are terrible, and unfortunately that matters in an election year. I’m not happy about anything that potentially keeps the GOP in power.
Trump led the crowd at their "convention" last night in a pledge to "cheat like hell" when it comes to the elections and voting and that's supposed to be taken as a "joke", meanwhile a random moment with two Democratic politicians greeting each other at a solemn event is like the worst thing ever.

We're just in such a ridiculous, absurd place.

How would you remember, were you here then? But that's besides the point, we're talking about a president falling asleep at the 25th anniversary of 9/11 commemoration, Biden didn't do that. You still crying about him stumbling over words years later, changes nothing.
FAKE NEWS dpic. The WH denied it directly. Momentarily resting your eyes is not sleeping. Yall font have anything to prove otherwise.

Racism and bigotry makes people so stupid. It makes folks who are objectively intelligent behave so poorly. It makes them make the worst possible choices.

What does this matter? His father was killed and he read the names of the dead. Are you saying he shouldn't have been allowed because he was a Democrat?
Just pointing out that Mamdani “stayed late” to gab it up with a Democrat operative and this doesn’t excuse him and AOC from laughing during the ceremony.
He rested his eyes. Awake the whole time.
The far left is so godless that they are actually unaware that closing your eyes and tilting your head down is quite common during prayer and somber moments in general.

What a stupid, desperate thing to fake rage about.

No one thinks you or Trump have a religious bone in your bodies, but if there is a god, Trump believes it's him.

And man does he pray a lot no matter where he is, but especially in the middle of meetings. Because he's so godly.

I assure you, the rage over AOC and commie Mamdani laughing it up during the 9-11 ceremony is entirely real and justified. Both of these clowns are still getting ragged on for it on social media. AOc legitimately ended her presidential aspirations yesterday.

I can't stand AOC and Mamdani is bad for America, but tell me what the f.vck is the difference between these two scenes?

No names are being read at a memorial service for starters. Seems pretty obvious tbh?

Democrats really are America last losers

So you're not aloud to greet someone during the event? What specifically was happening during the JD giggle fest?

Why do you and so many other MAGAs constantly feel compelled to tell me this? Why the f.cvk do I care about Democrats?

Something that wasn’t a memorial service, obviously. No, you don’t laugh it up during a reading of terrorism victims names in a somber moment. That’s entirely inappropriate but you know this already..

as for the last question I was making that statement generally and not directed at you in particular. Though to answer your question on why people allege that you’re a democrat so regularly I would point to my initial comment about you already knowing the answer to the question you asked. There is a common saying that most of leftist discourse is them pretending not to understand things thus making dialog impossible. You fit that statement to a tee more often than not.

Context matters. And I'll admit, even I was guilty of rushing to judgment on this one because, like a lot of people, I'm emotionally attached to 9/11.

But after looking at the longer footage and the reporting, that 4 sec clip doesn't tell the full story (as usual). CNN's longer video shows Mamdani standing respectfully while the names are being read, followed by a brief greeting with AOC. They exchanged smiles, spoke briefly and then stood together as the ceremony continued. According to that same article, a former Giuliani aide who was standing right next to them said the clip simply caught their greeting and that other Republicans and Democrats were having similar interactions. ...why weren't those shown? Most of the other politicians didn't even stay for the entire ceremony, but apparently Mamdani stayed well after it ended.

So, whorver first circulated that clip knew exactly what they were doing...rage-baiting! Worked to, no? We're barely talking about the actual event, the victims, their families or the first responders. Instead the internet is solely focused on two Democratic politicians and using 9/11 as another vehicle for political mud-slinging.

Heck, I don't care for much of the politics of either one of them, but guess what? I just don't vote for them. It's pretty easy...well, really easy for Mamdani...I'm not a New Yorker. ;) If we're supposedly honoring the victims of 9/11, maybe the victims should actually be the focus.
