Dante Moore could have been the second pick in the draft had he come out and now everyone is talking about the Oklahoma State quarterback. He could really slide if this play continues. Oregon's season is over now and will not be in the playoffs.

Lanning = Sark = Riley

None are going to win a NC. They don't have "it".

Titles are going to be won by:

Cignetti
Kiffin
Cristobal
Day
Smart

I wouldn’t pack it in on Sark just yet.

Would agree with the others on that list though.

Lanning still elite, but B10 is tough.

In an era when programs can come out of nowhere and win games, then obviously that means other programs are losing and sliding unexpectedly.

That’s what’s great about NIL/portal mobility era. No more chalk Bama, UGA, Clemson, OSU etc…rinse and repeat same top 8ish teams dominating conferences and in post season hunt every year.

He pulled it off last night, but I'm still a skeptic.

Lanning never shows up for the big game and his teams look unprepared.

I do agree with you on the NIL. I still think it reduces the pool to about 10 teams, but it's better than 2-3.

I dont believe that anyone thought we would look this bad though. Definitely a major step back compared to what everyone thought. I am firmly in the 4 win camp now.
Right there with you. I hoped we would at least be more competitive with this team and staff but after a sloppy start Bama made adjustments and completely dominated us. It got very ugly.

And the thing is we weren't playing the #1 team in the country or anything like that. It was #12. I think we are going to get some epic beat downs this year. I see the problem in that we dont have the players to compete. My concern is will we ever have the players to compete. Is there enough money.....I seriously doubt it.

Then doesn't it actually increase the "pool" if it went from 2-3 to 10?

I’m not saying that Lanning will or won’t ever win it all, but this kind of list is a lot more fluid than we often act.

Prior to the end of last season, almost nobody actually thought Cignetti and Indiana were true championship threats, and Cristobal was best known as the guy who once lost a game to Georgia Tech because he called a running play that ended in a fumble when he could have kneeled out the clock.

For that matter, I don’t know why we’re putting Kiffin in the tier that’s definitely going to win. He’s a good coach and is arrogant for sure, but until last year, ironically with the team he jumped ship on, had barely ever won anything that could be considered a big game.

It’s just hard to win championships, and most coaches fail at it a few times before they finally get there.

How does Oregon remain ranked? They almost were beaten by Boise and then beaten by an Ok St team that is still unranked. WTF? Just because the preseason poll was astronomically wrong does not mean they should still be ranked. UM dropped out after week one for WINNING (debatable) and Oregon stays in after being beaten?? Rankings still suck.

Lanning has had a few reps now. Teams always look underprepared, sometimes under motivated in big games.

It’s obvious Kentucky doesn’t have the talent to compete with the top teams yet. Stien’s inexperience showed in that he didn’t make any adjustments at halftime (it appears) while Bama’s coach did. That’s understandable now but Stein has to learn from his mistakes, unlike Stoops who was making rookie mistakes after years as a head coach.
