QB Battle: Jeremy Hecklinski appears to have passed Hank Brown on the Depth Chart. QB was NOT a Transfer Portal Priority per KF on Dec 18

I think its pretty clear that there are a number of people. both posters and media who want Heck, almost no matter what happens, which I don't really get. Sure, gunslinger, kinda reminds some people of Tate, whatever.
I don't get it either. The offense came out clicking with Hank last week. I would think everyone would be happy at the prospect of curb stomping Ames CC and just let the QB thing play out.

At least your post wasn't slanted in favor of either (I'll let you guess which one)
Wow Sherlock, you cracked the case! I literally said in the post that gun to my head I think I'd pick Heck at the moment. I also was very fair in my ratings. For example, Heck's touchdown pass was rated neutral instead of positive since it was a wide open schemed up play. I also rated one of Brown's incomplete deep balls down the right side to Diaz as positive, even though it was a 50/50 ball that ended up incomplete. So not sure what point you think you are making here.

I'm not sure that it's as much about wanting Heck as it is not wanting Brown. A lot of people think Brown's a guy that's going to cave under pressure because of the Indiana game last year in addition to his experience at Auburn. It's up to him to prove everybody wrong. He looked pretty good last week so hopefully his image rehabilitation continues.

Definitely this for me. I don't think Heck is very good. This isn't a situation like with Beathard/Stanzi/etc. where you had a great option being blocked. Brown did look great last week to start, he hit a number of open throws and made a few plays himself, but then also had some bad moments late when there was a little bit of pressure. So the worry with how Brown will perform under pressure is still there.

Kirk's gotten away with ****** QB play for so long with a great defense and special teams. Well now it seems the defense and special teams are a huge question marks and maybe not able to put out fire after fire. Hoping for the best, but it's not encouraging to say the least about the QB.
The defense gave up 0 points last week and barely 100 yards.

He will definitely be pressured today. The Clones are going to bring it on almost every play. Can he stay composed enough to make them pay, or will he fold? It won’t take long tonight to find out.

ISU has one of the better defenses the Hawks will play this season.

The QB starting last week pretty much had nothing to do with our start in my opinion. 2 Looong runs for TD's would make me look good.

The QB absolutely had something to do with last week's start. He hit the passes he was supposed hit. Did you watch last year's opener?
