I thought Lincolnton defense was strong suitFinal
Burns 56
Lincolnton 35
According to Bush League it was... It aint....I thought Lincolnton defense was strong suit
Attitude reflects leadership...we have our share of issues with penalties but tonight was awful.... I bet Lincolnton had 10-12 unsportsmanlikes or Personal fouls, and Burns had a bunch tooI don’t mind losing the game but the amount of unsportsmanlike penalties is embarrassing. Even more embarrassing than the run defense. Someone HAS to get control of the players.
Gotta score every possession.According to Bush League it was... It aint....
Their only hope is to keep the QB healthy and they got a chance in every game
If it makes you feel better, when yall play us you'll be playing on your phone midway through the first quarter, cause you will have gotten mad about the beat down that has commenced and will be on the way to cookout for a cheeseburger and corn dog plateI was keeping up with the game. Sounds like it got very exciting in the 2nd half. Looking forward to seeing both teams in person in October. I’m just ready to see a team that I won’t be playing on my phone midway through the first quarter.
You might be right. We are just blessed to share the field with the mighty Lions. If it makes you feel better, when yall play us you'll be playing on your phone midway through the first quarter, cause you will have gotten mad about the beat down that has commenced and will be on the way to cookout for a cheeseburger and corn dog plate
LOL I couldnt help it surge
They don’t know how to win, and don’t know how to lose. Told everybody we didn’t do anything lolThey got to figure out the exit with the players. Lincolnton fans down there just screaming at our kids. Our players couldn’t even see their parents. Made them go straight to the bus and Lincolnton staff was down there having to tell fans to stay back.
Let me add… Chris Dawkins came in at QB for Wells and played his butt off. Very proud of him!
Burns turned it on the second half and when that D line got tired Max did what he does. Credit to McKenzie and Ussery keeping the rock moving too when they keyed on Max. Huge win!!!
Davis was awesome and so was his o-line. Congrats and good luck to Burns. I was hoping to see your freshman QB but I heard he’s injured. Hope his injury isn’t bad. Same for your starter tonight who was injured. When you guys abandoned the passing game we couldn’t stop you.Max Freaking Davis. Geeez what a 2nd half he had. Coach said he had 286 yards. Probably 200 of that was in the 2nd half. Not to mention he played defense all night too. That was a big time statement win for Burns. Gotta get those penalties cleaned up though.
Good luck to Lincolnton the rest of the way, definitely enjoyed my first visit to y'all's place.
I dunno, guy. May wanna check the tape on that one.He doesn't need to, his undiscplined, look at me flex attitude got himself thrown out ..
I honestly don't know how they determined anything on that play. It was literally right in front of me and I couldn't tell who did what.I dunno, guy. May wanna check the tape on that one.
I’ve watched him play from the youth level to hs level…. One thing is for certain he has always been a baller…. Him and RJ both… Great kids too…I know one thing I'm dang sure glad we don't have to play Rashad Lynch again. That kid is a beast to tackle and throws a REALLY good ball.
Dont know how it turns out, but the kid who made the tackle out of bounds was not the ejected player.I honestly don't know how they determined anything on that play. It was literally right in front of me and I couldn't tell who did what.
…“Nossir, Mr L. I won't be seeking shelter either. Never been embarrased to be a wolf. I'd recommend it to anyone here. Go ahead, and be yourself. But if you can be a Wolf? Be a Wolf.”..

I know you wouldn’t, my friend, you are a wolf to the bone, and Guys like you we cannot do without.

If your talking about me i said Punk and i stand by it. The kid that made the hit out of bounds didn’t just hit him out of bounds. He drove him all the way past the benches, through the fence and onto the track at our cheerleaders. Punk move. Kids will be kids and he can learn from it but that was 10 yards out of bounds and still pushing.Dont know how it turns out, but the kid who made the tackle out of bounds was not the ejected player.
Seems that is prima facie evidence that the questioned statement is incongruent with the facts. Not even gonna address other posters calling kids names on message boards. Heat of the moment, I guess
I was there and saw sll the rest, but you say our attitude reflects our leadership. Please expound, as I can only surmise you are speaking of our coaching, and particularly our head guy? Tell us more.Attitude reflects leadership...we have our share of issues with penalties but tonight was awful.... I bet Lincolnton had 10-12 unsportsmanlikes or Personal fouls, and Burns had a bunch too
At one point the announcers were up to 25 total penalties, then there was a run of 5-10 after that, I think we all lost count
Seems like my “fandom” was being questioned here. I’ve never and will never be embarrassed or ashamed to be a Lincolnton Wolf. And I’ll never stop supporting the Wolves. I always want our teams to win, but I want them to either win or lose with class and good sportsmanship. I realize this is a new generation of teenagers. Some of them get emotional and make mistakes, some of them just play the game. I just wanna see them clean it up and reach their full potential. And I know we aren’t the only school with these issues. LHS is just the only one I care about. Sorry if my comments earlier offended any of the Lincolnton faithful. I respect and appreciate you all.A big congratulations to The Burns Bulldogs on the win and avenging last year, and then some. Got a good team there, guys. You just wore us down and ran by us. If we were to fall let it be to the Bulldogs, an favorite of mine from the old days. Thanks for bringing a big crowd and good luck the rest of the way.
If any of our team or staff stops by, just wanted to thank you for the effort. You tried hard to win and I'm proud of you. Hopefully, we can learn from it and move on. It's hard to go through our schedule without a loss. Thanks for what you do for us fans, and all real wolves love you.
*If any of our fans would like to claim embarrassment to shield themselves from some childish jealous taunts, please feel free to go ahead. I won't be joining you...Go Wolves!
Yessir, that's the name calling I was speaking of. I do not know you, except as a poster, and in that regard it seemed beneath you. My bad.If your talking about me i said Punk and i stand by it. Now I wouldn't say y'all would beat us 9 out of 10 times, come on now. Burns completely took over the game after halftime, to the tune of 49-14. That's not getting lucky 1 out of 10 times. I'll say if we played 10 times, it'd be more like 5-5. No disrespect to Lincolnton but we had a few more athletes and just wore you guys down.I’ll probably get blitzed for saying this, but I couldn’t care less. Nine times out of ten, Lincolnton should beat that Burns team. Tonight wasn’t one of those times.
Burns was simply the better team. They outclassed us in every aspect of the game—except for those hideous, impossible-to-read jerseys.
Everything Lincolnton brought to the field tonight needs to be scrapped, including those ugly-*** white helmets. And how could anyone watch that debacle and not be embarrassed? The complete lack of discipline is a direct reflection of the leadership—or the lack of it.
Outclassed. Outcoached. Outplayed. Period.
Being embarrassed by how poorly our program and its proud heritage were represented tonight doesn’t make anyone less loyal. Blind loyalty and real loyalty aren’t the same thing
I see it one way; you see it wrongly. Now I wouldn't say y'all would beat us 9 out of 10 times, come on now. Burns completely took over the game after halftime, to the tune of 49-14. Never, LTown! I know you have no agenda except the one you've stated. Theres some others I'm figuring out, now, lol.Seems like my “fandom” was being questioned here. The two best players on that field tonight were Rashad Lynch and Max Davis. Simply put, Max Davis was better. Oh and we did it with our 3rd option at QB and without our starting middle LB (but to be fair, you didn't have you're middle LB for the most part).I see it one way; you see it wrongly.
I'd take 5-5, and declare it takes nothing away from either programNow I wouldn't say y'all would beat us 9 out of 10 times, come on now. I don’t care who go ejected by mistake or what the kid is like off the field. We had kids get personal fouls tonight that are good kids too. You are taking the word punk waaaaay out of context. It was a punk move. Simple as that. I don’t care which player for Burns does something like that and I’ll call it a punk move then too. I could have said bone head, A hole, idiot or any other word and the meaning would have been the same. Try no to over think the context .Yessir, that's the name calling I was speaking of. I do not know you, except as a poster, and in that regard it seemed beneath you. My bad.
The kid you speak of is not the kid who was ejected, so you really named them both. The kid was guilty of a reckless penalty, but he nor the ejected kid are punks, anymore than some of your kids doing some reckless and unsportsmanlike actions as well. Kids. With varying backgrounds and stories, whom I personally believe shouldn't be called names in error or not, by a bunch of fans on a message board.
Obviously, I misjudged you, sir and assigned my own sensibilities to you. My apologies, BBD.
AgreedI'd take 5-5, and declare it takes nothing away from either program![]()
Lap it up, Bullschiddt! Is Max Davis headed to play ball for the reigning NCAA CFB National Champions??The two best players on that field tonight were Rashad Lynch and Max Davis. Simply put, Max Davis was better.
Oh and you might think I see it wrongly, but there's one thing I don't see wrongly......
