I couldnt fathom being **** at both on the field and off the field on Gameday. Rutgers at least has good tailgating to help us forget the games more times than not.

Rutgers tailgate scene is definitely upper tier.
The boardwalk is awesome, the beer garden with a band, the scarlet walk area is scenic and beautiful. The many plentiful and wide ranging lot options. You can even walk the bars on Easton ave and take a shuttle or walk from there. The fans in the lots setup some pretty elite and elobrate tailgates espeically in the Scarlet, Blue, Yellow lots.

I'd say the dedicated student scene is massively missing. And of course - winning to make the big games even more exciting. Other than that we have one of the most diverse, accessible, and enjoyable tailgating scenes in all of college football. We just have the winning tradition to elevate it and get the proper respect & attention to it.

There were so many times where someone new would show up at our tailgate parties, complain that I hadn't invited them to previous one, and go on and on about how great the Rutgers tailgating was. They'd also often wonder why Rutgers didn't do more to publicize their awesome tailgating experience.

Probably the blow talking.

Ain’t nothing wrong with RU tailgating and it’s superior to the football product for sure, but it’s a stretch to rate it above many others due to the fact that nearly all are a great time. Aside from Cuse and Temple, Shelby can’t recall ever witnessing a meh tailgate scene anywhere. BC may be another …. but surely 90%+ across all FBS are awesome.

I wouldn’t say 90% of FBS schools have awesome tailgate setup and scene.
but I get your point, a tailgate can be a good time no matter what. I’d rather it just not be in a gross sea of endless concrete between highways (ala MetLife)

Don’t get Shelby wrong. The RU scene is great, maybe even #1 in inverse proportion to the football misery. Is there a crappier team year after year with a better tailgate? Probably not.

But in direct comparison to all the tailgates across FBS, RU’s is as good as most but not better.
