LSU administration focuses on winning football games; Nebraska administration focuses on funneling stadium expansion contracts to its board members' companies
If any of the Nebraska football writers had any guts they'd ask about the ties of all that money and all that business expansion tied to 3 Or 4 board members companies

But nope fair catch Callahan wouldn't actually do true journalism, he's too afraid.

And you know these hacks see it.they see more than we see it. It's pretty obvious when you follow the money and I don't have any back end insight

Nebraska appears to be a university they got lucky hiring one coach – Bob Devaney. He transformed the program not only in how he coached, but also by hiring Tom Osborne and making him the next coach.

All those years, the university just sat and enjoyed the spoils these two coaches brought them, apparently not understanding at all how it worked.

The evidence is pretty clear what happened after TO retired, then what transpired after his recruits graduated.

As well as he was able to do at a school like Ole Miss he should absolutely be able to win a title. He's got so many built in advantages at LSU that he didn't have before.
He's perfect for the SEC and will absolutely bend the rules if possible, if not cheat out right 👍

Monte Kiffin in his blood. He does not show loyalty, but gets the job done, knows the game. LSU's already a monster (ask Dabo).
So many here wanted Monte Kiffin as a successor to Devaney back in the day. Lots of whispering- then grumbles etc Coach Osborne was “too nice”. Well Osborne was the perfect choice Kiffins are Kiffins. Thank God that never happened

Devaney was a much smarter man and seen the potential of this young coach during our first back to back national championships.

Agreed. Devaney had flaws but he got thats right. That’s why I gave grace to Coach Osborne for naming his successor- you know the guys you work with

Yeah, but the problem was, unfortunately, TO didn't have nearly the chops for hiring a successor that Devaney did. Either time.
