Fullcast After Dark mentioned Saturday how Michigan was already our most Zapruder-y fanbase, and this just backs that up.

You have my full permission to just punch me if I ever go full zapruder to justify a win like that. In fact, just stab me too.

That was the clock they used to review which was not the clock we see. That issue is what is the official clock? The one we see or the one used we don’t see.

It is very well defined in the NFL to use the clock we see and not some clock hidden from viewers. The college game adopted that practice but no real rule was ever written. As of today a new rule exists to enforced that rule but common practice had established that practice and should have been used.
Bottom line Michigan lost that game but lawyer types figured out how to skirt that rule and change the outcome because they never overturn game outcomes.

But damn, was that smart or lucky after the last fact. Record will say Michigan won.

The in stadium clock the fans see is the official clock. That video is stopped with 1 second on the clock but the play wasn't even over so Idk what the point is. Looks like by the time the play is over it very well could've hit 0:00.

Hot take - all sports contests in general need to end when the clock hits zero, final out is recorded, etc. Basketball and baseball have it right. No one else does. Especially soccer with the stoppage time nonsense.

There should be no further human intervention allowed once clock hits 0:00. A kicked field goal traveling through the air when clock hits 0:00….can let that ride. But a thrown pass or player running down the field with the ball when it’s at 0:00? If no possession in the endzone is achieved before 0:00, game should be over.

The fact that there is fundamentally no difference at all from there being 0:01 left in a football game vs. 0:10, 0:12, etc. in a hail mary scenario is a little bit annoying to me.

All WM had to do is defend the goal line from 46 yards. the fact they couldn't stop a hail mary -then IMHO they deserve to lose.
