This was over when LSU didn’t include the players on their roster for the Clemson game.
It wasn’t, because they intentionally only submitted a 103 man roster, which means they could have added the two former pro players at anytime. That is impossible now that they have submitted a full 105 person roster. Kiffin and LSU were playing games, and the SEC stopped that schitt real quick.

The SEC went and got their ruling that they could kick LSU out and voted on it. They had their nuclear option set up and told LSU the ball is in your court so FAFO.

LSU thinks it may be good enough to win it all and doesn’t want to take a chance of having games forfeited for “ineligible” players having played in a game.

it's more than that, LSU, despite their posturing needs the SEC more than the SEC needs them. The SEC showed they were not bluffing and were prepared to say hasta la vista

Disagree. The B1G would love to push for the super conference and pick up southern teams like LSU. The SEC might have been playing with fire and could get burned if teams learn they can leave and join a bigger conference that is an easier path to playoffs. This was a risky, prideful move in my opinion.

Amazing. UM absolutely lucks out again. If Kiffin would have decided to stay, they would be overpaying for a coach who would have tried to pull the same stuff there, and the scorn would have been 100 percent on them. And the 6th year QB and the friendly fan judge would have also been under question.

And while they act appalled and innocent, they pulled the same thing in their basketball program. Corey Stephenson signed with the Pistons and played in some exhibition games. So they cannot say "the AD wouldn't have allowed it".

Now they get to play the "why I nevaaaa!!!" As they fake a fainting spell and the SEC comes over and fans them and other teams.

Wrong. The NCAA has no teeth. The SEC showed theirs. I could see Sankey and the Prezes setting things up with the courts to move to independent from the toothless ncaa and telling B1G they can come along if they want or stay in a neutered organization. This power move is to bring ALL conference members under a set of conference rules and regulations or tell them they can go somewhere else. Even mighty LSU!

The days courts got involved with college football was the day it went to hell.now people are counting on untrustworthy politicians to fix it.
NCAA vs. Oklahoma. Schools won the right to negotiate their own media deals. Fans wanted more football, but that started the money flowing.

This lawsuit was not just about throwing LSU out but the authority to govern itself. Once they establish that they can govern itself, it will limit lawsuits against them as they would be the governing body, not the courts.

Yep this guy gets it. SEC is establishing who is in control with this lawsuit.

That coach just beat Clemson 51-10 and looks like an early contender for the national championship this year. I'm glad he's not in Oxford.

I don't think Kiffin would have been able to pull the same stunt at Ole Miss.....they have a stronger AD, a stronger president, and sit in a state where the political apparatus can't line up in full throated support of one team. Kiffin in Louisiana at this point in time is a perfect storm.

I was talking to my wife about this last night. Kiffin would have been reigned in at Ole Miss long before it got to this point. The inmates are running the asylum in Louisiana, starting with Governor Waterboy. Tate Reaves and his cronies aren't running Ole Miss athletics like what's happening down in Louisiana.
