According to reports, the game clock in the stadium isnt the official clock

Unfortunately for you, that just isn’t the case. Folks like you still live in a bubble and think Iowa is a big market brand. Fact is you are a small market team and nothing will ever change that regardless of the color of your sky.
My God the shade of green you turn every time you post here. I'd feel embarrassed for you, but its just not in me. :ROFLMAO:

LOL! ISU AD isn’t borrowing $50M from the University and struggling to service that debt.
DUDE, your own AD said he's in debt up to his backside and he went public admitting the situation they're in. Iowa's not struggling to do Sh--. They're paying back the loan, (they basically got from themselves). No one's going to foreclose on them or concerned with them getting 90-100 million dollars a year just from the TV contract alone. When your guy is on the street corner on Lincolnway with his tin cup, I'll drop you a few quarters if I'm in town.

The Western Mich AD said the explanation and evidence suggest the replay people have the REAL, exact clock. Heaven forbid fans are not seeing the real thing. So is the play clock in the stadium not correct which counts down to a delay of game. Effing weird
It ultimately comes down to what Michigan's deep state wants to determine what is and what is not real time. The B1G has been controlled by Michigan and Ohio State's deep state since the dawn of the the B1G.

At one game back in the early 1970s, Iowa was ahead by a few points in the last minute of the 4th quarter when members of the band noticed that the stadium clock had not started when play began and failed to start for at least 15 seconds. Soon the whole band, which sat directly behind the team in those days, was pointing to the scoreboard and yelling at the officials, "THE CLOCK, THE CLOCK...." This led to one of the oddest comments ever made during a radio broadcast when Jim Zabel informed the listeners, "The officials are now conferring with the Iowa band director."

Anyway, the clock was corrected, and we were informed that the authoritative time was kept by an official on the field and that the scoreboard clock was not official.
Well, we've come a long way from hand-held devices and game clocks to synchronized game and play clocks that are verified using an unseen clock operator with his own clock. Now that's real progress. ;)

I won't get into the Clay Travis idea, that behind the scenes communication took place between the BIG and MAC commissioners, where the BIG admitted they got it wrong, and worked out a long term agreement to get more MAC schools to play BIG schools in the future. Not going to do that.

Reminds me of the Texas Nebraska game when Colt McCoy throws the ball away and they give Texas one last play to win the game. Bo lost his shiat on the sideline when it happened and they gave Texas .01 on the clock. LoL. Couldn’t have happened to a better team. F N.
Best not to remind clown fans they don't play Nebraska anymore and Iowa does every Black Friday. They hate that. I think they have played West Virginia that day in the recent past. Now they play Kansas State in their heated Farm Bowl rivalry, on Saturday.

As others have pointed out the scoreboard clock rounds down. It does not show 10ths of a second. There were shots of the official clock in the review "booth" on the sidelines. It read 00:00:6 when the player out of bounds touched the ball, so the clock had not hit 00:00:00. This happens often in basketball. It's not unusual to see a team get a last possession with tenths of a second on the clock.

I loved seeing Michigan get upset too and initially thought WMU got hosed. But it does appear the officials got it right. The irony in all this outrage is that people have been asking for more accurate officiating for years and using technology to achieve it. Well, here it is and people are rejecting it because they didn't get the outcome they want.
Not accurate at all. Despite being able to show 100th's of second, the clock is still started and stopped manually. Look it up.

All clocks hit zero, no clock was stopped with time left on it. It was determined that when the ball was touched, there was time left. Some ref determined some angle of video showed the touch and time, that apparently our views didn't

Once again, ISU is not in deep debt. In fact, they’re often recognized for getting more bang for there buck than many of their competitors. Pollard went public saying future deficits could reach $140 million, but he recently noted that changes have already been made to reduce projected deficits to 72 million.

Great, so his standing on the street corner will be left for the guy who takes his place. Care to address your comrade who keeps telling us how much financial stress were in ? The financial future for Iowa and ISU is going in totally different directions, yet we have to listen to this constant (and uninvited) nonsense every year about this time. And to be totally honest the reason that ISU has able to reduce "projected deficits" is because they have put off numerous needed improvements for their athletic venues . How does that project for them to remain competitive?

So will the refs during the rest of any Michigan games use the stadium's play clock for each possession or check in with the B10 official clock?? This is just all Michiganish. Sketchy.

btw- Has the B10 official's name been released? It seems there is one that is partial to M.

Of course it isn't. The replays on challenges we see aren't official either evidently. 😆😅🤣
If WMU would have attempted the hail Mary, would another second be put back on the clock with the secret other clock? I really doubt it. Cash the check WMU. You will get another big pay day at the Big House.

I thought everyone knew that there was an official clock and that the scoreboard clock was not official.

Every call challenge or ref-initiated video review also initiates an official clock examination to assess the proper time the play terminated.

Many fans appear to be waking up to that actuality.

But the stadium scoreboard clock is the official clock barring technical issues.

The B1G is saying their sync of that clock with the game video is more accurate (debatable?) than the broadcast’s version so that is why they used it in the replay. The contention then seems to be if this is the case, why is it hidden from everyone.

When they add or subtract time from the scoreboard clock after a play, they asses whether the scoreboard clock operator may have been off in starting or stopping the scoreboard clock.

But it’s still all about the scoreboard clock.
