I have great memories of Scott Westerfield, the golden toe, but dang Ferrie has him beat in percentage pushing 80% now. he's now 1st among kickers in points scored. Below are the postgame notes from the hail state site.

Kyle Ferrie

• Ferrie was 8-8 in PATs, extending his streak to 80 straight makes.

o He is 118-for-119 in PATs in his career.

• Ferrie was 2-2 for FGs with makes 26, 32.

• Ferrie now has 252 career points which is 4th place all-time, and 1st among kickers.

• Including last season this is the fourth straight game with 2+ made field goals.

• Dating back to Oct. 25, 2025 Ferrie has made 12 consecutive field goals ... (2-2 today)

• Became second in Bulldog history for most field goals made in a career with 45.

Back in the mid to late 70’s we had a fantastic kicker but I can’t remember his name. It might come to me later. He was money from all over the field. The first time he kicked against Bama in Jackson that year, they took him out on purpose. Tore his knee up real bad and that was the end for him. Bear Bryant was still coaching then so no one was surprised when it happened. As a matter of fact, we remember speculating before the game about the possibility of them doing that very thing.

Really hard to say as we've had some really good ones especially during Jackies years. Scott Westerfield was solid for us also.

But I think Kyle will have an opportunity in the NFL, that a few of our other really good ones didn't.

Westerfield definitely was our most clutch kicker. If we needed a game winner I had zero doubts about him kicking it thru the uprights.
Hazlewood wasn’t bad either. Brauchle very good.

JMM’s license plate says KCKR or something like that. Kiss of death.

I was thinking during the game last night that Ferrie has been very good, and a Bulldog from the start, but has had the misfortune of playing on some bad teams.

Hopefully he gets the chance to be a difference maker in a few games this year. Make some memories Lefty…
