TU was the better team today. And I think we’re much improved. OSU is basically North Texas from last year and that team handled us pretty easily. I think that was an advantage for TU as game planning defensively was probably easier using film from last years UNT game.

and we won while making a ton of mistakes…that can be corrected. Holding penalties. Some missed contain on edge runs. We played soft coverage on the outside. But we also bowed up defensively on big downs. Our OL and DL are much improved. No sacks on Hayes and the DL was generating pressure…against a Big XII team. Not sure we’ll see anyone outside of Arkansas that will have that level of physicality in the trenches. I liked the mix of play calling and we had some big plays called back. Hayes’ only mistake on the INT is just him not letting that ball fly as far as he could. The WR was wide open and the ball just got under thrown. In the situation, I’m OK with it. He didn’t really put the ball in danger the rest of the game.

kicking game was the only real let down for me. Punting and coverage were fine.

I believe all the kickoffs were into the end zone also.

One more thing: I got a kick out of the OSU fans complaining that the Tulsa sideline had shade later in the game. Then I realized that their stadium sits East/West and they probably don’t know what a home field advantage really is.

I think the kicking game will be alright, Hauck and Carey were like 90% in practice. Just an off day for Hauck and I'm sure that between Huack and Carey we will find someone who will kick it just fine in games in the future. I liked that that Lamb called the game a little bit more conservativly, and think once we get another game under our belt we will play a little more aggressive. I think Barbay is a nice supplement to Lamb as the play caller, and think they will work even better together as the season goes along.

That we won without a perfect game, with a lot of first game mistakes was really great. We will be even better when the mistakes are cleaned up, and Alexander and Green both come back. I really would love it if we could get green back in the next game or two, so that he could be up to speed for Arkansas. Hopefully Ty Willams just had a minor nick when he might have had his hip slammed into. Nobody seemed to have any bad injuries against OSU, such that we will lose anybody for the next few games. I wonder if Ty Williams will stay at Corner and start with Green when he comes back and Drew will play back up or if Willliams will go back to safety? The secondary and the defensive line played really well today.

Did anybody see Campbell and/or Hightower come in today? They weren't in the defensive stats, and I don't remember seeing either of them coming in. Will mean they will be added to the equation over the next game or two if thats the case. Give us a not so hot forecast next game.

This guy covers the Big 12 and he’s big mad.

Don’t give this B12 homer a view supporting his Podcast. He is not knowledgeable about college football or pretends not to be to play down for the B12 school fans wanting to hear how superior their conference is and on par with SEC etc….

Workmanlike win from Tulsa despite three holding penalties on #84 at inopportune times.
I havn't gone back and looked at it again, but wasn't at least one of those calls one the one's the refs shouldnt have called?

ho he was holding each time. Its the PI calls that was suspect.
Yeah i realize there was like four or five pass interference's that were called against us that weren't and not called on OSU that were. But there was 2 or 3 holding calls against us that only were holding in the refs imagination.
