Good calls on taking to cover USC tonight. Impressive win. I thought Fresno would put up more of a fight but the Trojans smashed them. Looks like USC actually has a defense this year so look out

USC has a good coach

Should be a playoff team this year
2 games in so hard to tell but they've looked good. Maybe it's just me but I've always considered Fresno a honorary "power" conference team. Maybe goes back to that crazy 50-42 game in 2005 against USC when Reggie Bush went nuts for 500 total yardsbor whatever it was.

USC looks the part so far but their schedule looks pretty rough. Oregon, Washington and Ohio State at home. And at Indiana and Penn State during a whiteout.

Get through that minefield at 10-2 and they would definitely earn a playoff spot imo. Hate that we don't get to have USC-Notre Dame this year but with all their other marquee games that may be to their advantage

Fresno State still seems to be living on their reputation from +/- 25 years ago when they had a couple upsets.
Maybe that's it for me. Nostalgia bias. Grew up with a lot of good football memories around that time and might associate Fresno's upsets with those. It's silly but always just liked their logo too. Such character lol

College football in general circa 2005 or so was great even if the Huskers were past their peak (though still respectable and solid) High school our team was a powerhouse. My Steelers won a Super Bowl and were full of pro bowlers and some hall of fame players.

Now my old high school is a cream puff, the Steelers are frustratingly mediocre and the Huskers well... ya know. Game day is finally here and I'm going to enjoy it and try and not be negative. GBR!
