I don't have a dog in this fight, but I'm curious: @JohnHughsPartner, the homie from Steely Dan got mad when his band was labeled Yacht Rock. I humbly request your thoughts:

A). Steely Dan is Yacht Rock and they're awesome
B). Steely Dan is not Yacht Rock but they're still great
C). Steely Dan is Yacht Rock but they suck
D). Steely Dan is not Yacht Rock and they also suck

We booked a local steely Dan tribute band at the music venue I worked for on New Year’s Eve one year and they were prob the 2nd worst people we’ve ever worked with

Van Halen with DLR is better than with Hagar. How many covers did they do? Create your own music if you are great.

Arctic Monkeys have a discography that matches or bests nearly any other rock band in history.

Sturgill Simpson is wonderful, but Vance Powell is the main reason he became famous.

Prince is the greatest musician of all time. He played every single instrument and did most of all his production on the Purple Rain album, and throughout his career I believe the most demo’ed musician. He made so much music I don’t think any one can understand how deep his grip is on modern music going back to 1981.

Collabs with Pitbull where his only contribution is yelling "oooooooo-EEEEEEEE" are not needed to progress humanity any further. We get it, the man is a party wherever he goes, is clearly charming and has a magnetic personality. But we can maybe move on from this specific "lyric".

I am glad you have allowed me to get that off my chest.

I couldn’t believe how terrible the Prince concert was I went to. Massively disappointed.
