Just tell me where all the other idiots are and that’s where I’ll go to argue with them.

Ftr, I never realized the truck driver story would hit the nerve that it seems to have. My apologies. It’s all part of driving I 81 in the Shenandoah.

Iowan's get a little excited when you bring up their driving skills.

The worst drivers in Omaha usually have Iowa plates, and there are a ton of shiddy drivers in Omaha.

Moog is the human embodiment of the word cringe.
Let's be honest, and I have been wanting to bring this up before but now that we might be going home it is time:

Moogs is the Clemson board Whiskey. That is why they argue so much. They are the two sides of the same coin.

Trying to drive around Cedar Rapids in the days following the derecho was an absolute nightmare. No stoplights were working so everything was a 4 way stop. I had no clue how many people didn't know wtf to do at 4 way. It was mind blowing.
especially if one of the roads is 4 lane. It's suicide trying to left hand turn in that scenario.

It is not that they don't know what to do, they just don't want to be the person to go first.

Take comfort. Iowans are not even in the same universe as Marylanders.
Went to Virginia Beach in July. Son did the driving going in.
Got to the Hotel and Uber the 4 days we were there.
Couldn't go 5 miles without an accident somewhere along the way.
Florida was the same way. Almost run off the road in Orlando.
Everyone seems to be in a big hurry to get 50' ahead 5 miles down the road.

Interestingly I have probably consumed the least amount of Iowa football information since he closed it. Though I will say my fandom has been receding the past few years, and I bled black and gold FOREVER.

I think it’s mostly Ferentz fatigue. Nearly 30 years is a long time and program is stale in my opinion.

It’s a tough crossroad bc we’ve seen how bad it can go if you get the wrong hire (Nebraska, Wisconsin, Michigan state) but sitting at 8-4 year over year with the defenses and schedules we’ve had leaves me thinking we’ll never reach the cfp with Ferentz.

what’s the point of all this nil if we’re never going to get there? That’s what makes me think if it’s not this year, it should be his last year.

Cedar Rapids is like that nowadays with all the data center traffic plus the 380 construction. So, so many out of state plates on my side of town...and it's like they're all late for work.

There's not a main artery section of town that 3-4 times a day seems like half the drivers are behind the wheel are peaking on blotter acid.

You really don't need to be hooked on daily with Iowa. You know what you're going to get.

You know the defense will be good if not great. You know the offense will run the ball. You know finding the right QB and receivers is a challenge. You know the TE will be good if not great and they'll use lots of them. You know the special teams will be pretty good eventually.

So, learning the new players' names and numbers is usually the biggest challenge. I get that done usually by half of the ISU game.

" Money talks, bullsh!t walks..." Insurance companies don't give cash away.

Getting ready to tailgate on Lesbo Lane? I'll be watching this one on the big screen in the basement, Cubs game too, rooting for them actually. Threw up a little...
