O line and the O line coach keeps my wool away. It gives me warts not wool.
I'm woolly for a put up or shut up season. We allegedly spent some money and have a talented roster. Lebby either gives us a season we can be happy with or we pack his bags and start looking for a new HC on Nov 1.

Unfortunately it’s a disease that returns every September but usually gone by October.
I too used to be delusional but after about forty years of hope, wishful anticipation, reluctant realization, and abstract disappointment, Mississippi State football can’t hurt me anymore. I’ll enjoy the highs but not dwell on the lows.
Not gonna do it, wouldn't be prudent!
I told myself i wasn't gonna talk myself into the idea we are gonna have a good season.... but every ******* year i always get super excited and feel we are gonna do good.

For sure. Its like night and day. Inside these walls I'm very wooly. I have been intentional and consistent in my strain to be optimistic. Same guy every day. I will strain to be better every day until around game 4

I am confused. Am I the troll or is the implication that Mr. 77 is? I am trying to make a genuine point about arrogant people on here who call out anyone that disagrees with them by using rage or insults.
I haven't been wooly in the preseason since Leach's last year. I am cautiously optimistic that we will be much improved but that schedule is no joke.
I've been through approximately 59 MSU season opening games and I don't once remember having wool. I went through so many terrible seasons that I don't think there'd be any way I could grow wool. And now, after all the stress of watching all those seasons I don't even have hair growing on my head either
I'm ready for kickoff and prepared to be sucked into the idea that I really do see improvement, even against a team of this caliber, then double down on that thought until reality crushes my soul in a few weeks, or possibly in MN...
This right here. I've been through so many years of this I know better than to buy into any pre-season hype. I'm so calloused, I could play Hail State on a guitar strung with razor wire.
That Minnesota game is huge. Lose it and there is virtually no chance of even a mediocre season
Do like me: expect the worst, hope for the best, and you will not be disappointed.

Sorry, but I've been an MSU fan since the 70s. I hope that by now I know better.
Or, we start off 4-0, look good doing it, then have key injuries at thin positions and finish 5-7, with half the folks wanting Lebby fired, and the other half saying he needs yet another year due to the injuries and these 1-2 plays here or there that could have gone differently, etc.
That’s the absolute max-pain scenario, so, as an MSU fan, it’s what we should all expect to happen.
This. That’s why I’ve been predicting ULM, Tech and 10 all summer long. I will NOT be disappointed again.
