“UMass has 26 total wins(26-134) since reclassifying back to FBS in 2012.

UMass is 7-5 vs FCS & 19-129 0.147 vs FBS.”

The Rutgers board is a very funny mix of insanity and depression. There’s one thread that is titled maybe UMass is good and another thread is titled Maybe UMass is a playoff team. The rest of the board thinks they’re going 0-12.

Being a Rutgers football fan is akin to being a PSU basketball fan; both are gluttons for punishment.

That surprises me. I would have thought a lot more empty seats, given is was UMass on a Thursday evening 6 pm kickoff.

In all seriousness, there’s no doubt on my mind that we eventually will see in-season transfers; who’s going to stop it?

Rutgers paid a boatload for him just to sit the first year. That was stupid. They don’t necessarily have the money to do these things, but they needed a recruiting “victory” over us. Gibson was very good in hs, but not necessarily elite. There are very few players (if any) that are worth paying to reclass just to stockpile on the bench. We would not do that this season because we have four RBs that would be ahead of him and all four of them are going to play per Campbell’s press conference. It’s going to be hard enough to get everybody enough touches. Watch Gibson transfer after year one. I’m sure he just noticed his offensive line not be able to move freaking UMass.

The way he glowed about the coaching staff and environment at PSU, I was so impressed that he was making a holistic decision regarding the utilization and development of his skill sets and collegiate experience overall. Then, poof, he gone!
