I think they'll be good, but not as good as people are expecting.

10-11 win seasons, not national championships

Kirby still owns him

Ole Miss to the playoffs? He’s the real deal. Think he’s got the right approach in today’s college football to be successful. Wouldn’t expect it all to click in year 1. Maybe year 4🥴??

I'm not sure the Bama brass would want to put up with Kiffin. But I do know the student base and a decent amount of fans are not impressed with Deboer at the moment.

Kiffin is the perfect villain in college football. I've always disliked him. Recently? Hmmm.... I've started to embrace him as the villain. Dude has a little Mike Leach in him. He does it his way and screw everyone else.

I support him as a villain - And he could actually go WWE and go from villain to good guy on short notice with a leap from the top rope and flying elbow to Alabama or Georgia. Kiffin is good for the game - like him or hate him.

He is not close to Mike Leach . Leach was as genuine as the day is long. Lane is a phony little brat.

The guy can coach an offense don’t get me wrong. But he still doesn’t seem mature enough to put it all together and win a natty.
He will have LSU in the conversation. National championships are not easy to win, but I think he will have LSU in the playoffs on an annual basis. Too many good players and LSU and Lane will do EVERYTHING and ANYTHING to get them.

Bama brass? I've never considered Alabama to be the pinnacle of ethical conduct. Those fat cats in Tuscaloosa in their crimson blazers will be on their knees ready to swallow if they could get Lane.

My sister works in the athletic department at Bama. Kiffin is not spoken of favorably there. So I’ll stand by what I said.

If they wanted to "swallow" Lane so badly, why did Saban tell them not to interview Lane? Please enlighten us why they didn't remotely consider Lane when they had an opening very recently....

A "big Bo fan" calling Kiffin a phony little brat is hilarious. Yeah, he's only about twice as successful as Bo and about half as big a cry baby. But other than that, good point dude.

The SEC just filed a lawsuit against LSU and Lane Kiffin to try to prevent them from playing the former Ole miss dudes that got cut in an NFL camp . A Baton Rouge judge in an injunction said they could play. Doesn’t appear Lane is getting off to a smooth start in Baton Rouge.

Not at all. But of course a local judge who is likely a fan, at minimum, if not an alumni, donor, or somehow affiliated with the university, is going to say it’s okay if LSU breaks the rules. We saw this with Ole Miss and their QB situation over the summer.

I think it’s all a way to pressure LSU and Lane into doing the right thing. I don’t see LSU getting kicked out of the SEC.

This myth that Alabama is somehow every coach's dream job needs to end already.

NIL support is the only thing coaches have to care for anymore, and Alabama isn't close to the top of that list.

Further from that, you have to understand that these dudes are in want of legacy. There is no legacy to build at Alabama because it has been out so far out of reach by Saban.

I stand corrected. Dan Patrick was talking on his show this morning about Kiffin not being well respected in Tuscaloosa.

When Kiffin was on Sabans staff, his family stayed in California. He was not yet divorced, but he was trolling sorority, girls, big-time, and being a total lush. Saban had to have people keep tabs on him, and they even told him to knock it off. But but they were successful, and Saban never went so far as to fire him.

Kiffin is not liked by Saban. If he doesn’t want the guy, that’s the end of the story.

I imagine Kiffin also rubbed a lot of people the wrong way on his own. Sometimes assistant coaches can be insufferable pricks.

If he is allowed to cheat he will win. If not no. Of course is there really any reason to cheat anymore? What was considered cheating years ago is now legal.

Guy is a complete douche, but he took Ole Piss to the Semis last year.

He has some good dudes around him, and a lot of talent to be dangerous.

He'll make LSU a serious contender maybe even this year.

Lane is a good coach but a slime as a human. He couldn’t survive Pre NIL because he would have been nailed for cheating if he had his way. . He will do well at LSU unless he wants to buck the system like he is now. At some point LSU will fell the same as others He isn’t worth the squeeze for what you get in return.
