I literally sourced the info for SEC QB’s. You’ve got your head buried in the sand.

The fact is that - at 19 years old - he’s getting well into the 7 figures to play a kid’s game, for one season, while getting a free college education. He’s not playing here for 50% off what he would have taken from Alabama, LSU, etc.

I've always been fascinated with the concept of building or rebuilding in college sports. I think it's something coaches came up with to help them feel more secure in their jobs.

Everybody understands that there are transitions. But it's almost insulting to the fans and players to talk about wasting a year or three. When Croom came in and said that stuff about how the current players won't be here when they turn it around, I mean holy job preservation batman. And our fanbase lapped it up.

I can KINDA see it in the old system, before graduate transfers, and you had some niche scheme that completely did not fit personnel. But good coaching is evident immediately. There is technically never a "bare cupboard" like so many say because every team has the same number of players. There's never an excuse to just look like asss.

And as far as our situation, if you aren't sure what you got, maybe don't send TWENTY-FIVE 17ing players packing like Arnett did in 2023, and Lebby again in 2024. Maybe wait out the first year and see what you got, then retool the following year if needed, barring like a QB or something to run an offense better.
