Basketball is an extremely elementary game. You were never an athlete but that shouldn’t be an excuse. It’s a basic game and easily understood, as are the players on the court.

Tell me you don’t know basketball without telling me you don’t know basketball.

Tik tok responses are dumb. Be better.

You can say I am an expert in basketball. Again, you aren't very knowledgeable of sports so I don't begrudge you for not knowing this, but I like you so I'll provide some free education. Dr. James Naismith invented the game of basketball. He modeled it after taking many elements from...lacrosse. So, given I am expert in lacrosse tactics, strategies and concepts, basketball is incredibly easy to understand. It's half of the numbers of the players in the game and no contact makes it very, very elementary to someone like me. Anyone who played lacrosse at the highest level has no problem easily understanding the game. It couldn't be more basic.

It probably confounds you watching it, which is to be expected given your background and lack of athletic participation at any real level. But to those of us not in that boat, it's as basic as basic gets.

Haha. I still agree Michael is the greatest error, but the rest of this is silly, outside the Naismith taking Lacrosse goaltending ideas into his invention. In lacrosse, if a player scores five goals, they had a great game. In basketball, a player can score 30 points, but advanced analytics will prove they actually ruined the team's spacing, played lazy transition defense, and technically cost their team the game. Ultimately, lacrosse is an chaotic battle royal that is surprisingly easy to chart on a spreadsheet. Basketball looks like a simple game of backyard hoops, but it is actually a deeply complex matrix of spatial data that refuses to be tamed by mere numbers.

It's much easier to score in basketball so that's not really relevant. Having played both, you're simply wrong. Spacing, defensive and offensive concepts, whether they are zone, man to man, or some combination of, are all very similar. Passing, ball movement, pick games, two man games, it's all almost identical. You think lacrosse is chaotic but that is because you don't know what you are looking at. It's far more complex for a reasons.

1) More players on bigger field.
2) Offsides
3) Room behind the goal

The last one makes it unique from most every sport other than hockey. It also forces defenses to guard an entire other area that isn't available in basketball. That alone makes it harder. Basketball is a very simple game. There is only so much 5 guys can do whether it's on offense or defense with no offsides.

Its chaotic in that they don't even ask most players to do everything, even the equipment used is different based on position. Guys on the same team play different games. Basketball requires connection from one end to the other. Lacrosse roles are specialized.

Lacrosse involves incredible amounts of connection. Clearing and riding are all a coordinated team effort of the entire field. Just stop. You obviously don’t know anything about the sport.

Basketball involves far less. Unless a team is full court pressing, which they don’t often do, teams allow a guard to dribble it up the court with maybe one picking him up.

👍 so they end of his career got it! Like Jordan’s embarrassing wizards years lol
Hahaha, Jordan's last season with the Wizards he played in 82 games, averaging 37 minutes a game and averaged 20 points.

Lebum hasn't played 82 games in a season since 2017. The only time he ever did it lol. Guy is soft af.

It’s adorable your childhood crush! I think Bron won a championship with LA . I don’t think Scottie or Phil were in Washington so I know how that went

Bubble championship not one Lakers fan cares about lol

LeBum would have lost every game in Washington and would have played 10% of them. LeBum would never go to a team without a grip of all stars. Because he can't carry one. Ring chaser who still has a losing record when it matters.

Focus on lacrosse because you’re starting to embarrass your self with your childhood obsessions and lack of hoops knowledge

You’ve long been embarrassing yourself with your teenage girl crush and clear lack of athletic understanding. I can tell you never played any sport at any real level. And no, rec ball doesn’t count.
