If Tavion Banks returns in 2026-27, we would have 1 Open Roster Spot (14 players are officially signed)

Just my opinion, but I think time just took it's toll. Had the decision to give players that eligibility occurred much earlier, then players like TB could have returned before the roster had greatly constructed.
I think Ben is building for the future. He has younger and taller players at that position shooters that need to play.

Edit: Manyawu will play the four where Banks played a fair bit last year.

So as far as I have looked into it, Banks is still without a school. Isn't it getting a little late. If it's not aren't we entering even more dangerous territory as in mid season transfers who are eligible immediately?

He may need to go west and find a school that starts later in September. Or sign with a team in Europe.

I could’ve sworn I read article last month that Gonzaga was a real possibility.
It is/was. Few is going international as always, but here's a tidbit. Few picked up Xavian Lee from Florida in the Portal. If TB was somehow picked up, you'd have two players who were opposed to each other in the tourney, playing together

I'm going to throw this out here just for the he ll of it. Teams vet players very well. Could Banks' run-in with the law be a sticking point? Just curious.

Just looked at Miss St. roster and they have 15 players listed. LSU has only 4 players listed. Gonzaga has 4 listed, and are waiting on eligibility for a few (no pun intended) of their transfers. Oklahoma has 14 players listed. Based on the numbers, he probably has the best shot with the Zags or the Tigers. Maybe a shot with the Zags? I don't know, but we'll have to wait and see how much more this eligibility BS shapes up.

Found this article from a month ago, but based on what's been reported on this thread, I'd have to give the edge to LSU. They needed the most players.
