If this season goes south, there may not be a next year for Pope
He's fully eligible under the nationwide injunction for class of 2022 players. He also entered the portal in April and never went near any NBA teams. He's playing, so are Garrison and Dioubate.
The state based lawsuit he was in got overturned, can’t remember which state, but they sided with the NCAA
If Pope doesn't at least make the S16, there is 0 chance he's here next year, imo.
I should have qualified it, nobody left that would replace Mitchell's impact. I am sure they could fill a roster spot with someone. It's just gonna be hard to replace that production at the 4.

All of the guys who were relying on the TN and Colorado (blanket 5th year) are no longer eligible. Cases like the California injunction and Louisiana injunction that were not overturned still grant eligibility to 2022 grads that were part of those specific cases. It’s all so messy

I know that this may be a stupid question, given that we all know academics no longer mean a damn thing, but how are athletes still joining these lawsuits to play this season after classes have already begun?
I mean, we used to at least fake pretend like these are actual college students. Do we no longer bother to even do that?
I think you can enroll in a class late up to a certain point but yeah they’re not student athletes they are “students”

That Mitchell was enrolled in. Something seriously crooked happened behind the scenes here and nothing will change my view point.

TKR/Robbie would be an absolute dream, but reality is we’re probably gonna end up rolling out the roster we currently have. To get any of those guys eligible, enrolled, and having them actually fit in with the team we have would be a monumental fight.
He has to get eligible. The SEC has plenty of time to create a new rule that affects UK only if they decided to pursue him.
He would bring us back to FF contention again though.
You have absolutely NO IDEA what this team NEEDS you have never seen it play.
The roster is set if I’m understanding correctly. The reason we had to get Mitchell when we did is there was an admissions deadline to add players at UK. We have to roll with what we have at this point.
