70% everyone else’s fault
30% popes fault

Say whatever you want but pope has had by far the most unlucky head coaching career so far.

players get crazy injuries, HS commits uncommitting stupidly, SEC and NCAA rules messing with him.

I hope pope is absolutely pissed, I hope he’s yelling right now, we still have the opportunity to get a good 15th player but at the same time I’m sure pope is and we getting c;oseas confident of the guys he already had, even more now
School has been started for a week not sure of timeframe to enroll, but it has to be getting close.

I said it then, I will say it now.... you never know with the crazy world today, but I don't think Mitchell ever plays another second of college basketball ever again.... but people lose their mind over this stuff - and to be honest, Mitchell should be done, he played his 4 years - college sports has hit insanity mode

I'm cool with fans sneaking particularly snarky signs into games and throwing stuff onto the court at this point. Especially at SEC officiating crews and league officials.

The players don't deserve their chance ruined by power trips and political games. And I understand why Mitchell chose the path he did too. I don't blame him. Hate isn't a strong enough word for the league and what they do.

Oh, he's gonna play. I can all but guarantee you that he will now that he's not suiting up for us. The SEC and NCAA will not hold him up now.

For anyone that says this isn't Pope's fault. The recruiting and development of a roster is 100% Pope's responsibility. I would argue Pope did a mediocre job assembling a roster and Mitchell was almost a gift that landed in his lap.

I just hope a 19-11 record with a tourney bid and 2nd round exit is not considered "good enough" to keep saying one more year.

You're not wrong. Even before Mitchell it was just a decent roster going into next season.

But my god, how many times is the NCAA gonna knee-cap us? I said this about Cal, most didnt want to hear it.. but the NCAA absolutely was a road block for his success. And guess what, looks like we have the same problem with Pope.

At some point you just have to realize that Kentucky has to play this sport with one hand tied behind its back. That's not Cal's fault, and that's not Pope's fault. Its the NCAAs problem and Mitch for not doing a better job addressing it.

And start working on getting Billy D. Then he had all season to build a roster for next year. This is over.
Billy donovan is not coming, youre worse than the brad stevens to IU ppl. How many times does donovan have to turn uk down, say hes not interested, tell you he hates recruiting, and now he especially hates NIL for you guys to finally accept it

So who do we go after now? Are we just going to roll now with what we h
I was positive on our roster before the Mitchell drama began. We need someone to claim the starter position. I think it’s McBride.
Obviously the staff wasn't positive, otherwise why go for Mitchell? If we don't go after anyone else now, basically throwing in the towel before the season has even begun.

" Reports coming out of the Louisville courtroom confirm that Judge Brian Edwards did not issue an immediate breakthrough ruling that would explicitly strike down the SEC's intra-conference transfer penalties. The legal limbo remained entirely unresolved, and entering a prolonged, messy multi-week battle with SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey became a massive risk for Mitchell."

I'm guessing since Judge Brian Edwards didn't have a decision today and as posted by Jeff Goodman, today is the last day to enroll at Missouri, he couldn't take that chance.

It's Mitchell's agent's fault. A real agent would have had him put his name into the portal back in April just in case.

This is why you don't hire your inexperienced brother to be your agent.
Now that he isn’t coming here, Yeah hiring your brother with little experience was a bad idea. Probably just costed mark like 2-3 million he would’ve got from Kentucky
