Whatever happened to Richard Jaffe ? Stud during the Curci era...

?

Pretty sure he plated NG

[katwest]

I don’t know but I do know he was a fireplug on defense and was unstoppable. It seemed like he was in on every tackle, probably the most undersized nose tackle ever in college football and one of the best.

Speaking about an undersized guy being a beast on Defrnse, remember Mike Siganos? That guy was a stud.

This was beautiful

Love those simple yet elegant uniforms! Big shoulder pads back then and no names on the jerseys.

Yeah man, those were sweet with the Power K. I know some people don’t like it but I dig the old school simple uniforms and helmets.

I remember a play when UK nose guard, Bubba McCollum blocked a punt by pushing the center back into the kicker.
Curci era, in spite of the sanctions, was one of the most exciting times for the Cats.

The veer with Mike Fannuzi and Derrick Ramsey.

That was a defense, how in the world did Baylor beat us that year, marred a perfect season.

IIRC, our top RB went down with a season-ending knee injury in the very early going of that game (at Baylor in 100+ degree heat on astro-turf)...although he did return the next year, I believe...just cant remember his name

I remember watching that game delayed on a Jefferson Pilot replay, about the only way I could see a lot of games. Undefeated in the SEC was something though, think we finished #6 in the final AP poll. As the gentleman above said, I remember many of the players talking about the brutal heat on the astroturf and how it gassed them. Heck of a year though.

Anybody know where he is today ?
