Oh, and hey,We might be the only team in this area that hasn’t banned you from our stadium. Got to admit though, they were considering it one time, but AlwaysAWolf wouldn’t allow it.
He said, “If we cannot tolerate others, we won’t be able to tolerate ourselves.”

They are still not near the level of the of the top 4 teams of the conference.
but they are way better than the normal. Return all skill players from a season ago. They do got some speed. I know they got 2 kids that beat Lynch during track season. They didn’t beat him everytime.
but they got 2 kids that can run respectably fast.

They absolutely should walk them like a dog, I recognize y'all have played two tough teams to start the season, but if Burns can't throw the ball then it makes it a lot easier to put 8 in the box and slow down Max.
Burns will be fine. We said it during the offseason, get us early. Bralley getting comfortable is going to cause problems. We knew it would take time. We started the season off 1-3 last year and made a run. I expect much more this year. The weapons are there.
Burns has the team to make a late November run! Possibly December!
No one with any football IQ is sleeping on Burns.
Burns is slowly getting the QB figured out I think. The freshman played quite a bit more against KM than he did Crest. He had a few nice completions too. I'd expect he'll get a lot more playing time this week. But there's no reason we shouldn't beat EG by 28+
From looking at Max Preps he’s been held in check the first two games. Looks the entire offense is struggling though.

@ShinyTurd , I thought you were a Cleveland County guy? I have not heard of Max play defense yet, but he will continue to be a load to stop running the ball.
Crest (5a), Km (6a) defenses. Anyone willing to bet he doesn't break 100 yards Friday? Maybe 200?
I get it on who they played but for a team that’s supposed to contend for a title, you expect more offense.
Just a guess, but im assuming they dont want to run him in the ground early. He's only got 22 carries.
I just like good ball. Know a few guys in CC and some in GC and try to follow their successes or struggles. I hope they don't struggle.
They were trying to keep him healthy. If he would have had 6-7 more carries in both their games it might not have been good. Smart coaching decision. Burns tried to play snail pace in both their losses - again, good on them. Only 40 or less offensive plays per game, but it does shorten the game and keep you within reach.

If the Lord ask me how long I want to live I'm gonna say to see the day Highland Tech beats Shelby in Football.
You clearly last year didn't watch their hybrid OG/QB with the ball in his hands. They have taken a big step this year
The excitement of playing a tough opponent is special, but for me it’s a little worrisome. Burns is already battle tested and we all know they have talented players from last season, and they will have the revenge factor working in their favor. Course, we got to face up to them sooner or later.
