Jane, 54, a teacher, was one of many who believed the relationship between the US and Canada had been badly damaged, perhaps beyond repair.

“I definitely will not support America economically while this administration is in power and, to be honest, I may not ever again,” she said.

Alberta is voting in Oct. on whether it should begin the process of separating from Canada, so it looks like a lot of Canucks don't like Canada either.
He has higher polling numbers in Alberta than past liberal presidents, though the rest of the Canucks rate him higher.

Recent Poll Numbers
  • Liaison Strategies (Mid-August 2026): Carney's approval reached 60%, with the Liberal Party leading the Conservatives 43% to 32%.
  • Léger (August 2026): Recorded a 55% approval rating for Carney's performance, with 54% satisfaction with the federal government.
  • Angus Reid Institute (Late July/August 2026): Placed his approval at 51% amidst shifting domestic and economic concerns.
  • Abacus Data (Late August 2026): Showed 60% approval specifically for his handling of trade negotiations and disputes with the U.S. [1, 2, 3, 4]

U.S. Trade Negotiation Approval: An August 28, 2026 Abacus Data poll reveals a higher approval specifically for his handling of the U.S. trade dispute, with 48% of Albertans approving and 24% disapproving. Additionally, 61% of Albertans backed his specific decision to walk away from those trade talks. [1]

I hope Canadians stay away from the internet then since just about all of the technology that powers the public internet is based on US HQ’d technology.

Bonus - a lot of worldwide pron is based in Canada and they rely on two things: Exploited women and US tech.

Have you seen the polling on this referendum that you MAGA's are so excited about?

I know it's hard to believe, but in most polls it's even worse than Trump's polls in the US.

I an not excited about it - or even barely interested in it. Canada has never been much of an ally, as seen by its decades of freeloading on US defense while shirking its NATO commitments.

You're barely interested in the Alberta referendum but you and other MAGA's will bring it up unbidden every chance you get. You people are so full of ****.

And now Trump because of his stupid personal animus and obsessions has turned you brainless MAGA bots against Canada, our closest ally.

I never could have imagined this was possible in the before times.

I only brought it up to show that while some Canadians don't like Trump, some don't like Canada itself.

I try to provide some measure of perspective for libs like you who don't have any. You're welcome.

The next step in all of this is watching the next leftwing president change the name from Lake America back to Lake Ontario. The left just cant help themselves.

No one will ever accuse the left of being pro American.

These people are logical fallacy machines.

And on January 20, 2029 the executive orders correcting the Lake Ontario and the Gulf of Mexico nonsense better be part of the initial batch of executive orders in the minutes after President Shapiro's or the name your Democrat's inauguration.

Because the United States is a Republic/Democracy and while it has a President, shouldn't have in that office an insane wannabe totalitarian dictator that thinks he can rename geographical landmarks on a personal whim.

We're not North Korea.

Your side renamed everything under the sun.

Because we have a President that does these things just to troll other countries. It's embarrassing. And so are these:

No one will ever accuse you of being a principled, above the fray right wing poster you so desperately try to come off as. Imagine excusing the antics of this president. Can you come up with one good reason why he's doing this?
