They will comply.....which means the school can roster the players. They can still enforce the penalties against the schools and coach. I'll be curious to see if Sankey has the balls to do it.

Collegiate sports is just an effing clown show that gets goofier by the day. All of this does nothing more than continue to alienate fans. Some how, some way it's got to stop. Not sure what that answer is but where does it eventually land?
NFLII. Coming to a University near you soon.

The current order specifically prohibits the conference from issuing the punishments now or retroactively. Now is Sankey having a call that says “I’d think long and hard about who you take”? Very possible.

Yeah missed that part. I guess I was trying to read the veiled message.

Sankey can't pick & choose which judges order to follow. He followed the Chambliss judge ruling so he's got to do the same w other judge rulings. He set the precedent.

Im pretty sure the SEC is still fighting these orders, they are just saying they will abide by the orders while they are in place. As they should.

A hearing on the injunction is set for Thursday. There will be a lot of pressure on the judge to rule by Friday, so rosters can be set. The NCAA and SEC will appeal if they lose, and the SEC will still likely argue the district court never had authority to enter the order blocking the new rule and sanctions.

And I think we all know how the ruling on the prelim injunction will go. And I wouldn’t be surprised if the appeal goes exactly how the Chambliss one dude

I don't know anything about the judge, and I don't think its fair to just assume he will be in the bag for LSU. His orders so far have been issued without hearing arguments from the NCAA and SEC, and he has to be aware how controversial it has become. We'll see, but he might deny the preliminary injunction.

Of course, I expected LSU to pull the plug on this and now I'm not so sure.

All the presidents met to discuss this. very smart lawyers were involved.

They know what local booster judges are going to rule. So what are we doing here? Making rules or playing a PR stunt game “well we tried to shut this down but those darn judges….”

I believe the NCAA is 5 for 5 in getting these injunctions stayed by appellate courts.

I said it in other thread and got challenge but all you have to do is bring a law suit in your state and you will win.

Until next spring when a group of 23 year olds asks a judge… why only 5?
And the judge is gonna say cause that’s all you get. The issue isn’t the 5-year rule. It’s applying it to the 20, 21, 23 and subsequent hs classes but not the 22 class.

I know the answer. Eliminate the tp, bring back the $100 handshake post game and shut the **** up.
