Neither were particularly outstanding at PSU. Life happens.
Less than 70 P4 coaching jobs in the nation. The best in the business. Paid between 8 and 13 million per year for their knowledge and expertise. 50 million CRITICS paid what they are worth zero.

True but to be fair to Kobe he did make the Vikings last year and I'm 99% sure I read he was released with a medical settlement this year. He'll probably get another shot. At best a STer but might stick around when healthy
Can they legally force any team to take them? I suspect a team would have to offer before they come back. If they can compel a team to offer them, then this has gone completely rudderless.
I know that but it doesn't answer the question. Can a player compel a team to take him even if he has a year left? I say they should not be able to. The university decides if there is interest just like with HS recruiting and the transfer portal. There is no inherent right to play a sport in college.

I thought about that, I suspect the college would have to be party to the lawsuit. So to answer your question: no. (Not a lawyer.)

The SEC was never winning that case--it was beyond stupid by all the conferences to try to enforce that.

My fault for not being clear--I'm well aware of that--I wasn't saying the new regime drafted Ward--I said "new regime, took a QB #1 after him" meaning after Levis and the comma was indicating separate points.
Soon after Sean Clifford graduated, a video of Levis throwing accurate “lasers” at a PSU practice surfaced on the interwebs. Some folks here creamed their shorts. Then Levis turned traitor, and the creamers turned screamers.
Levis is a big athletic guy with a great arm, and that's what got him drafted. Unfortunately, I tend to believe he is a slightly bigger version of Kenny Pickett and not a guy anyone wants as an NFL starter.
