I am sure Jim Thorpe wasn't even the best athlete in America in the 1920s let alone all time, much of the country didn't even have full access to sports.
There’s a pretty decent documentary on Thorpe on Netflix, “Lit by Lightning”.

His reminiscing interviews are great. He may have been the greatest natural athlete of all time.

100% that dude was a freak. Pretty sure he’s kept his wheels on too and stayed financially sound since his playing career was cut short. Refreshing to see.

I’d put him up against just about anyone in any athletic competition when he was in his prime.

Yeah I thought of him as well but Bo was huge besides being skilled at baseball. Bo wins the Oklahoma drill and home run derby every time against Thorpe. Probably wins the long drive competition too.

Bo Jackson coulda whooped Jim Thorpe’s *ss with one hand tied behind his back,
before breakfast, with his eyes closed

It’s impossible to compare an Athlete from the 1910s and 20s to an athlete from the 80s-90s . At least physically. But anyone who says an Athlete who wins 2 gold medals in the Olympics that were both in track and field events and is in both the CFB and pro football HOF not one of the best athletes of all time is absolutely Stupid.
