Thread hijack, but related. When I was a little tyke we always hung out under the street light in my front yard watching the bats catching the mosquitos, moths, beetles, etc that were attracted to the street light. We would actively look for bugs of any kind in the bushes and grass to throw up in the air too for the bats that were always flying around the street light.

It was most awesome after going bream fishing and having crickets left over and just standing there throwing crickets up in the air and watching the bats zoom in on them and snatch them out of the air. Kids now don't know what they're missing, they're inside playing some stupid online game

I'm not operating that when I'm in the area, but if I lived in the country, I would absolutely run those around the house for a few hours around dusk everyday while I stayed inside. Not sure that'd add a lot of benefit beyond spraying, but it would definitely be more satisfying. I would run it around our house but I'd be concerned about how dangerous the lasers are beyond 20 ft and whether it was going to hurt somebody.

If you ran that system it would eliminate the mosquitos in the area around your house…for 5 minutes.

Ok, mount the laser on top of your flat billed cap. That way there’s no possibility of the laser hitting your eyes, mirrors not withstanding, and if someone is stupid enough to talk to someone wearing a flat billed cap, then they deserved it.
