…..said until these ADs, commissioners or coaches miss a paycheck (and really until money stops willingly flowing to players too - my add), is there really a sense of urgency to fix things?

I mean they’ve just shown some are willing to act if it gets too crazy. This lends me to think folks aren’t really all that upset about the current state of things. So all of you talking about blowing stuff up, may as well get over it or find a new hobby.

His last Friday email.... read like a pep talk or encouragement that they would TRY to move forward on facilitaties projects but they may not because of Protect College sports act. The email read like "around and around the bush we go" to satisfy player salaries not knowing if there would be money for facilities. But by gosh we are trying.

I don't envy the job of an AD right now. Because the player salary piece seems like a bottomless pit and I bet it isn't easy asking for more and more and more again next year.

I would not want to be trying to fix all this either. Im sure they spent a fortune last year between adding new players and retaining the ones that were productive hoping to put a decent product on the field. Cause if you dont fans complain. And even if you can manage that with the meager funds we have compared to say Texas Tech or whoever, now the fans want better speakers in the stadium. Constantly begging for money and kissing players butts. I couldn't do it.

I’m going to attend a couple of games early on. I’m going to cheer for the name on the front of the uniform. If I see significant continuous blunders under the headsets, I’ll watch the rest of the season on my sofa and wait for the axe to fall.

I will be watching from my recliner and pulling for us to win. Might go a a game but right now no plans to.

I’ll fully admit I’ve been stunnned by the amount of money that boosters have been willing to commit to NIL across all of college sports, especially football. I don’t know if it’s sustainable or not, but I thank those who are willing to fund it at these levels I guess because it’s not me keeping it going.

I really am too. You'd think many of the biggest donors have to be very interested in things like ROI - I wonder how they account for it? I guess the same way they did when it was cash in a duffel bag, but it seems like we've moved into orders of magnitude more $.

While yes, I too believe they've gone up substantially, I don't think it's as bad as 'valuations' the crootin sites do, what's reported, and definitely not what the chicken littles here say. If you look at the wording in the articles and X posts, etc. they always make it sound much bigger than it is.

But my real evidence - I know directly about what a few players got and what was reported was......inaccurate......at best.

I've probably been to more games and donated more money than you have, not that that matters. When they give me a reason for some hope, I'll get back on board.
I’m gonna say you been to less games than me and I’m sure you have donated less money than I have… probably by a wide margin.

At least it’s about Mississippi State, and not really just all about your ego…
I give because I love Mississippi state. I give because I want to win. I don’t sit on my couch I step up. Not ego at all. But when someone who makes it a priority to run down msu at all cost every single day yet doesn’t give doesn’t attend games.. yeah I’m gonna call them out.

Do what you want. Nobody cares. But continuing to trumpet that you give and "I give more than you" or "you can't have an opinion if you don't give" statements are just stupid. Because you don't have a freaking clue what anyone else donates or how many games they've been to. And it doesn't matter anyway.

Edit to add this just showed up randomly on my Facebook and I thought of you:

Cute. When one is negative as you are I would have expected like you knew what you were talking about. Should have gone with my gut you don’t know anything just what you read on a free message board

Except your cable money
Exactly. Any paycheck they miss will get made up by retard fans that live and die by 19-year-old kids. I personally have no issue not watching college sports. I haven't watched a non-MSU football or basketball game in years. Not a playoff game, not a championship or tournament game. My level of give a **** is waning by the hour.
