"(Nebraska's) schedule, I don't think there's layups all over the schedule..." "They've got three to start... $23 million NIL, playing (against) scholarship programs... I think these first three games are going to be 48-point wins." "MAC teams, Sun Belt teams, CUSA teams, they press teams who have money... Nebraska's not Ohio State right now... (If) Nebraska beats Ohio 17-13, it's a win. Don't chalk it as a loss. You beat 'em." Early Break discusses the difficulty of Nebraska's first three games of the 2026 season in Ohio, Bowling Green and North Dakota.

Sounds a lot like the way some Iowa seasons have started. Wins over weak opponents that weren't particularly impressive.

some nebraskans are saying that this year rhule isn't talking big and brash in the preseason and this means that he really has a outstanding group of players and therefore is deliberately holding back on telling the world. instead he will just show the world by blowing everyone away on the field. this could be true considering this is rhule's 4th year (same as when ferentz broke through )

He got his extension last year, they owe him a ton of money if they dump him. He probably doesn't have any reason to carry on this year.

If he tanked this year the buyout would be in the neighborhood of $63 million I think. Invest in low risk areas and you could easily make 5-10% on your money, or 2.5-6 million a year. Why coach Matt? Take the money and run never to be seen again. Hang out on the beach, travel the world, sip cocktails, etc. Enjoy life because you can't POSSIBLY be enjoying the current situation.

Get the fluff out of the way, but it wouldn’t surprise me if at the start of B1G play, they are 2-1 and the meltdown begins.
I haven’t placed a bet in more than a decade but I will be watching the spread on the Nebraska vs. North Dakota game.

North Dakota will field one of the best OL units in FCS this year; they have some offensive weapons.
