Not sure how the ncaa/ sec can hold him to the rulebook when at the time going back to college was not an option. Of course he wouldn't have dropped out before the deadline, and of course he could have signed something. I think the ncaa will get their rears handed to them in court if they try to fight this. If he gained an extra year of eligibility by the court, it's only reasonable to assume the other ncaa bylaws involving that eligibility will have to bend. Anything else will look like vindictness.
Like everything else today it seems this will inevitably be decided by a judge.
