I thought Minchey went to Kentucky for more $ which is probably true but it’s interesting we are giving Colandrea more than that. Time will tell if it’s worth it.

Minchey said Kentucky had better coaches...was in an article last week on espn.

Probably paid more for the experience Colandrea has, given Minchey rode the bench almost the entire time.
No they lost Minchey at the last moment and had to scramble...they were at the bottom of the barrel and Colandrea was the first to get to Lincoln and they overpaid him. Rhule being an idiot as usual but one of his 77 paid staffers helped him at least get Colandrea.

I don’t believe him. When it happened the talk was it was over $.
I mean he listed all of the recent NFL qbs who had been coached by Kentucky coaches...so it was certainly on his mind. And he only makes 2 million...Colandrea makes 2.5 million. Our staff is a joke to everyone but the AD.

Still doesn't refute that Minchey was a bench warmer.

It sucks, but the fact we had contingencies is better than "scrambling" as you put it. Only time will tell if we overpaid.

Demond Williams was threatened with legal action by UW because he signed his NIL and then 2-3 days later entered or attempted to enter the Portal.

You watching the Vuelta?? Ever seen amything like that hail stage 2 days ago? Watching Pogi get out front and help shut down the stage was really wild. Little surprised he did this race, and at his form. Guy is a freaking machine.

See the gravel worlds race thru SAC museum last Sat? 25K prize... wow..

Man what a great year for cycling. It's come at the perfect time as i've been laid up with 2 ankle surgeries this season and having all this to watch has been amazing.

..and Leadville? Forget about it (in my best italian mobster voice) ... watching that long of a race at that altitude come down to a sprint was fantastic. Keegan took second at gravel worlds I spoke about earlier..dude is also a machine.

I've only seen some of the highlights of the Vuelta. and some of the hailstorm. Reminds me of the Penultimate road race in the Tour De Bloom stage race that I was in and mid way through while I was in a solo breakaway it began to snow hard and even though I was sweating from the effort I was also shivering and the decreased temps triggered an asthma response. Needless to say the peloton pulled me back. Little did I know that the mountain top finish had accumulated 4-6" of snow and the race director moved the finish to the bottom mid race!. I got an unsuspecting 3rd in a group sprint ---initially I was pissed that the director had not clearly informed me and then after thinking about it I may have been lucky that the mountain top finish was truncated because if my asthma had really kicked during the climb I may have lost my 3:15 advantage in the General Classification. That race sucked. I hate racing in the cold.

It was funny that you shared an article as your proof someone said something. Then it turns out that they didnt actually say it. Lol
"Sloan, their newly hired OC, had been persistently recruiting Minchey throughout but ramped up his efforts before it was too late. He sold Minchey and his family on the combined track record of new coach Will Stein and Sloan developing Jayden Daniels, Bo Nix, Dillon Gabriel and Garrett Nussmeier into NFL draft picks with Dante Moore up next.
"He'd been texting me and calling me every day," Minchey said. "He never let up. It just took a little bit longer for me to realize that's where I should actually go."

Keep in mind Nebraska gave Colandrea 2.5 million, and Minchey is making 2 million at Kentucky. They sold him on how good their coaches were in comparison to what Nebraska had to offer...Nebraska has such crappy coaches that players are willing to give up 500k to go to Kentucky instead. Dylan probably gave up 3 million to get out of here. I find it funny, can't wait to hear all of the horror stories of this staff once all of the dust settles. I understand it. Dannen couldn't pay me to go to any games this year and it is a 15 minute bike ride for me.

Where did Minchey say Kentucky had better coaches? Also, did Nebraska offer Minchey $2.5M? Honest question as I don't know.

Matter of opinion on why Minchey went to Kentucky.

You’re a sad example being Husker fan. With your poor attitude I wouldn’t want you seating next to me Of course you don’t have season tickets to start with.

I was never a fan of signing Minchey. The little bit of video we had of him made his passing look questionable at best.

First you don’t even know what Minchey was offered so you can’t say with any kind of certainty that he took a pay cut… second he still didn’t say they were better coaches… you can insinuate that he felt he had a better chance at developing into a potential draft pick there. But I mean when you have a guy selling you on how well he was able to develop all these QBs, and never mentioning anything about all their natural abilities before hand… all this boils down to is he was convinced their guy was a QB whisperer, and honestly when you hear the names he’s worked with I don’t blame the kid for thinking it.

Would you go if you could drive instead of riding your bike?
