Allen Robinson was a three-star recruit in the class of 2011 out of St. Mary's Preparatory School in Orchard Lake, Michigan.

Recruiting Overview Rating: Rated as a 3-star prospect (with an 84 rating on 247Sports). Ron Vanderlinden and Mike McQueary were the Penn State coaches who recruited wide receiver Allen Robinson out of St. Mary's Preparatory School in Orchard Lake, Michigan, for the class of 2011

Limited Offers: He received interest from only six schools: Toledo, Minnesota, Michigan State, Buffalo, Bowling Green, and Penn State.

The Decision: Major programs like Michigan State did not extend an offer, leaving Penn State as the primary major program on his list. He committed to the Nittany Lions in November 2010 and signed in February 2011.

College Impact: Despite modest recruiting rankings, Robinson turned into a program legend, setting Penn State single-season records before being drafted in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft. Stan Hixon was the wide receivers coach at Penn State during Allen Robinson's standout breakout seasons in 2012 and 2013 under head coach Bill O'Brien

I remember that timeframe. We had one poster (Judge Smails?) who went off the deep end when I pointed out that Bolden was simply not getting any better.

Wasn't it Bolden who so poorly threw a 15 yd pass into the middle of the field that the PSU receiver needed to catch it against his helmet before securing it or was it that he threw a pass in the middle of the field that hit the WR in the back or side of his helmet?
